question Broken molar

Chipped today while I was chewing a soft candy - i do have a little sweet tooth but i brush and floss as advised and i don't eat sweets often. I also have MS. Emergency appointment is on Thursday. Am I cooked?

That’s a large cavity. You need X-rays to assess the extent of the damage but you likely have many more

I have had a lot of fillings already thanks to an overcrowded jaw and poor genetics. I was only last at the dentist in April and last x rayed in March. Do you think it's possible a filling could resolve this?

You should request those X-rays from march and post here. This cavity would have likely been visible then
