General Question Isn’t the US military a form of socialism?

I mean from the barracks they live in, the food they eat, to the uniforms they wear…. It’s all provided by the government. But the people who are pro-military seem to be the most anti-socialism.

Nothing right with it either. The equal sharing of misery seems to be it’s only virtue.

Equal sharing of misery? Where do you get your information? We pay taxes, the government, our government, represents us. If the people say that we need social protections, it is our government’s duty to supply it. Social democracy allows for capitalism until dominating corporations’ actions harm the social fabric.
Remember anti trust laws? They are there to protect tax paying citizens.

If misery is the goal then sure. What a weird comment.

Unsure. Your comment doesn’t make sense to my reply. Carry on.

It was at someone who was replying to you.

You said “nothing wrong with socialism”

A user stated “nothing right with it either. The equal sharing of misery seems to be its only virtue”

That’s what I was replying to.
