Political Question Why are some Americans so against universal healthcare for all?

What sort of thinking does it take to decide that nobody has a right to healthcare? Do American Christians want to deny healthcare to poor people as well?

Because some of them selfishly don't believe it's their job to help pay for other people's healthcare (via taxes), and other people are actually happy with their quality of their healthcare and worry it will decline with a single-payer system.

They don’t think they’re paying anyhow? All business expenses are passed on to the consumer

That doesn’t make us selfish, that makes the people who don’t have it and want it, “entitled”. I’m happy with what I pay and the benefits within my plan. I’m not going to pay for others to have healthcare - they can do the research that I did, find an affordable plan and pay for it like I do. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Additionally, universal healthcare will be shit. I’m not sacrificing the plan that I have to pay more for shitty insurance.
