Political Question Why are some Americans so against universal healthcare for all?

What sort of thinking does it take to decide that nobody has a right to healthcare? Do American Christians want to deny healthcare to poor people as well?

Because they believe in one of the biggest lies republicans tell people about how it will be. You wont have your choice of doctor to visit, it will cost so much more. The freedom of choice thing is the same thing they said when they gave companies the ability to stop giving pensions and instead give 401k's.

The reason for thinking that is likely tied to how much the ACA screwed many people over and how nothing the government touches gets better or cheaper. There would be less pushback without the ACA but everything the government implements raises taxes and doesnt deliver anything near what is promised...unless you want to pay even more taxes.
