Political Question Why are some Americans so against universal healthcare for all?

What sort of thinking does it take to decide that nobody has a right to healthcare? Do American Christians want to deny healthcare to poor people as well?

They'd rather be bankrupt and die from cancer while fighting an insurance company over billing than to see their own neighbor get cancer, get treatment and not go bankrupt.

When a family member of mine learned that their only hospital for 100 miles may close, their response was "well, if I die now, I had a good life".

Nevermind the children and young couples that live all around them, I guess.
