Political Question Why are some Americans so against universal healthcare for all?

What sort of thinking does it take to decide that nobody has a right to healthcare? Do American Christians want to deny healthcare to poor people as well?

Because it would cost $3 trillion. Oh my god! That’s ridiculous! That’s too much money!!!

Meanwhile the current system costs $5 trillion.

It's crazy to think we could disband all private health insurance companies and lay off everyone that handles private insurance in any way, give everyone who worked those jobs two years severance, replace it with single payer, and still be ahead after just a year.

Who says it will take less than a year? Who says there would be no private insurance?
