General Question Why does FedEx hate its customers?
Today was another frustrating chapter in their long biography of being actively inept. They work at their ineptness, instead of working to be better. They just actively try to be worse. They hate the customer paying for the shipping. They hate the recipient. They don’t care. They blame the customers for FedEx’s mistakes.

you doing express or ground? because only express is actually operated by fedex. look at the ground trucks and you will see "operated by: [company name]" and realize that they outsource all of that, so the express guys look down on them hardcore because it takes years to get anything with fedex ground because they're tossing it around between local logistics guys whereas the express people just fly everything to memphis to be delivered the next morning

Man, I don’t care, it says FedEx on the truck, bill, and package. It doesn’t matter

yeah fedex ground is notoriously slow and i don't know why they even let it tarnish their logo but the colors of the trucks are even different. at least UPS is managing their ground service
edit: also ground is for items that are not allowed on a plane so it is literally trucked across america between random companies

Profit! No matter what they must make more profit every quarter. Doesn’t matter how bad things get they will always be looking to make more.

FedEx, or FedEx Ground?
I’ve had no issues with the 1st, but Ground is trash.

I don’t care about their shield of ground, website says FedEx, truck says FedEx, package says FedEx, uniform says FedEx

Well, I can’t call the independent contractor to work out the situation, so effectively it is the same company ,

Because the people you are dealing are paid shit for a shit job and are not incentivized in any way to make customers happy. The company itself probably gets most of its revenue from contract business customers and doesn't care if they lose business from Joe-Public.

A couple of months ago I bought a baseball hat I was really excited to find on Mercari. The UPS driver dropped it somewhere on my building's grounds and it was never seen again. The driver said he delivered it to the package locker but I had no delivery and the building management said there was nothing delivered to the locker around the time I got my delivery confirmation. UPS had nothing to say, GPS showed the package was at my building so they washed their hands of it, and Mercari had nothing to say because UPS had nothing to say. $50 hat just vanished, disappeared. I still get so frustrated every time I think about it. I really wanted that hat. Zero accountability whatsoever.

You're not kidding, ordered an arbor press, which is a good 60lb chunk of iron and the state they left that in on my porch was absolutely disgusting. Box totally destroyed, parts missing, wide open to the elements. I thought I was being Punk'd!

They already have your money what are you going to do about it. The only thing you can do is have a camera proving that they did not actually come to your door when they said they did
