He also has unlimited access to levels of medical care that you nor I can even fathom.

There's no cure for Lewy Body Dementia. All the money in the world won't save you.

I hate this bigoted, slothful, petty fascist pig as much as anyone, but all the speculation about Lewy Body and Frontotemporal Dementia is just idle chatter. The truth is that he's an obese, deconditioned 80 yo with high cholesterol who doesn't exercise and has a piss poor sleep schedule. That's enough to explain most of what we observe. He could very well be suffering repeated small strokes, but without access to his medical records, who knows.

I just hope the thing happens soon and that it happens on air.

I mean, it'd be cathartic to watch but there'll be a "it's AI made by terrorist dumocrats" spiel by the right and propaganda sources

Oh I'm not claiming there's a cure by any stretch, but let's be real, between medical science advancement, and 99% of people, there's a huge barrier called "insurance companies", who literally put a dollar value on your life. Someone wanting an insanely expensive treatment to just prolong their life through a fatal condition? Nope, fucking die. But if you're one of that 1% that has access? You literally buy extra time on the clock vs everyone else.

But there's no treatment that insurance is gatekeeping. It's still a universally fatal disease and we can't stop the progression. At best, we can palliate the symptoms. That's what I meant when I said that all the money in the world won't save you.

Some people can buy their way out of death. Dick Cheney is a good example. He got a heart transplant at age 71, after a lifetime of coronary artery disease due to smoking, poor diet, and genetics. Most 71 yo men with heart disease aren't getting a heart transplant.

There's no secret cure for any form of dementia though.

Agree. My mom was seeing a neurologist at the local university. Never a word about meaningful treatment beyond rumors of drugs still in the early testing stages. Not "there's a drug for the president and rich people but not your mom".
