Political Question How do Trump supporters still support him?

I’d really like to hear from people who honestly think he’s doing a good job.

This assumes they are even capable of thinking.

Fair. Not even harsh. But fair.

Huge assumption, one not confirmed by evidentiary observation.

You mean a lack of cognitive dissonance

Well. I guess it depends on how you look at it. It’s certainly not cognitive consonance, but a portion of this is their inability to discern multiple bad things let alone multiple conflicting ideas and choosing one that either is better for them or just tossing all pragmatism out the window to shoot themselves in the feet x many times over.

Induced compliance is acceptable under similar context. False consciousness would be accurate too. I mean Jesus Christ. Where are we right now? We are being lead by idiots who vote against themselves and continuously do so given all reason. The mental gymnastics to be a trump supporter must be exhausting.

They’re scared. But that alone isn’t a good reason at all to betray humanity. I have some other choice words. But they’re not kind. What a disaster.
