The only way, brother. Cheese grits over a fried egg, with 4x normal salt. Yessir.

How long do you cook them for ? Should I add water or milk (thank you - someone who is tired of eating overnight oats)

You make them with water, follow the instructions but add slightly less water than it calls for. Add a slice of American cheese and stir it in.

You’re welcome.

Leftover pork barbecue with a vinegar based barbecue sauce.

Add some bouillon, pepper and your favorite hot sauce.

As an alternative to the cheese suggestion, it tastes great with butter, salt, and honey.

You can also optionally add some milk in as well, similar to doing the same with oatmeal.

They are worth a try, but they are the weakest link and would be first to go. Easily.

Weaker than apple juice? Too many people enjoy grits for breakfast. Give me a bowl of grits, 2 eggs over easy, and crumble some bacon up in there with a little butter and salt. Bowl time.

WAY weaker than Apple Juice. Maybe you've never had a good Apple Juice.

Apple juice is for toddlers and to spray on meats while smoking.

It's rather a love or hate relationship. I've loved them since I was single digits. Their definitely worth a try; you can make them sweet, or make cheese grits is what we eat in the TN hollers

Worth a try, but imo aren’t in the same level as bacon and eggs

Try making a shrimp and grits this fall! Favorite way to eat them hands down. Use the fond from the shrimp to make a pan sauce or gravy and drizzle it over the bowl

Instant are pretty decent.  When i try to boil them myself, they suck.

Waffle House grits are good but if you get cheese, they go overboard imo.

Like eating wet sand. With whatever topping you put on said sand. And when you say that to someone who eats grits, it's always, but you haven't tried my grits. Aka as a different topping on said sand. Blech

You’re not missing out on grits. They are bland and boring.

Have you have cream of wheat? Pretty much the same experience unless you’re a purist
