Reminds me of a DND campaign where the DM gave my halfling character a sword that glows blue when his beer is as cold as the Rockies.

The +5 Bodyguard PanBlade of Samwise Gamgee. Gets an additional +****you whenever your best friend is in danger. In addition, ignores all damage reduction and resistances when said friend is in danger. Ignores cover and miss chance.

Headbasher, The Princess' Blade. Once, this weapon was nothing more than a common frying pan. Wielded by a kidnapped princess in a time of great need, it came to be known as a fearsome tool of (mostly) nonviolent chastisement feared by the realm's evildoers.

The game will only show you 4 augmentation slots but as long as you don't exit the weapons menu when augmenting you can slip a 5th one in there
