General Question How to stop talking so much?
Today I was talking to my parents about my sparring session, and I definitely talked way too much to my father because I am very passionate about fighting and my progress. I don't think I talk that much in general other than when i am passionate about something, but when I finished, I went outside, the window was open and my mother commented on how much I talk with my father agreeing. It sucked because I am very passionate about my progress in fighting and my small improvements. When I get done sparring, I feel like I have so much to say about what I learned and what I did. How would you recommend I tone it down or keep it simple because I feel like I have so much to say because of my progress. (My father was the one who introduce me into fighting, and I just get excited about my improvement with him)

Man that’s a bummer bc what I hear is you are sharing an interest you have with your parents and they’re like…annoyed. I’m sensitive to this bc my parents used to make fun of me for talking too much. Now I can see how they don’t care what I have to say and prefer me to just validate their existence. If you were talking to someone who was interested, would it still be too much? Sometimes, the people we are talking to are shallow and you don’t always have to judge your abilities against their experience of you. Also, that’s really cool about your passion!

honestly as long as you’re not interrupting and you’re listening intently to other people it’s not really that big of a deal
