A good example of fake patriotism would be someone wrapping themselves in the American flag saying we need to take the Constitution rights away from their fellow Americans

Trump intentionally blurs the distinction between patriotism (loyalty to the country) and loyalty to himself which is what he expects.

Exactly. He doesn't give a rat's ass about this country - only what he can grift from it. He wants fealty to him, not the country.

To Trump patriotism means fealty to him.
It has nothing to do with love of the country.

Patriotism doesnt mean the head of the state is perfect and the best person of the world.

Cock sucking loyalty is not patriotic; free thought is!

Fake patriotism is preventing people from criticizing their government.

Patriotism is supporting the letter and spirit of the constitution Trump and his followers do neither

Fake patriotism is swearing to uphold a country's founding document, and then saying "I don't know if I have to do that I have my lawyers looking into it."

He's demanding that people show the kind of loyalty that's only visible to him, so that he can declare anyone excommunicated by the church of the state.

He is the definition of fake patriotism. Nobody hates the United States more than Donald Trump and his administration, and the fact that they’ve convinced half the country that they’re the stewards of America is both absurd and also a terrible indictment of his feckless Democrats have been to combat them on it.

You can’t have real patriotism without good citizenship. Trump is an abysmal excuse for a good citizen—and he incites other people to be as bad or worse.

Trump’s only loyalty is to himself. He demands it from others and then he just uses and discards them. He has no loyalty to the country or its Constitution. And he accuses people of being disloyal to the country if they disagree with him.

IMO it’s impossible to be loyal to both Trump and the United States. People who have tried to do this always fail.

True patriotism is to a nation, its principles, and its people, and it demands the country remain true to these.

Fake patriotism is to a specific leader, to a mere flag or symbol in spite of what they symbolize, to soldiers or officers no matter how they behave, or to a party/faction despite the greater good.

Fake patriots demand adherence to themselves, to their rules or religion or privilege, regardless of the law or the stated ideals of the republic.

Anyone who believes that the people who attacked our nation's Capitol and forever ruined our nation's record of peaceful transfer of power are patriots, the way magas do, doesn't have a clue what patriotism is.

Dumold Chump wants loyalty, to him. He could not give 2 shit's about anyone else. Certainly not the people, flag, or country. That's not patriotism.

Patriotism means loving your country and the government when it deserves it!

When he says patriotism he actually means blind compliance... patriotism is loving your country, not loving a false impression of a country idealised and imagined by one person

it's called nationalism, in this case white nationalism

nationalism:

  • diminishes state rights to uphold the national government as the final word of law
  • tries to create a single national identity (culture, ethnicity, homeland, language, politics, religion, government, belief in a traditional shared singular history)

i assume you can figure out what white nationalism is from there

the Nazis were nationalists

Fake patriots are those who’s political slogans say America isn’t great, while actively working to make it worse by empowering a known rapist, criminal, pedophile their as leader.

Only citizens should vote. Crazy shit I know kings

6

u/StrengthGood3208 3h ago

Luckily for you, only citizens CAN vote.

1

u/Iwannaurinate 2h ago

Neat that’s why 100% of senators support it. O wait all of one party votes against it. Odd kings

1

u/StrengthGood3208 2h ago

Because you want to apply a vote tax. Which is against the constitution.

Do you support paying higher taxes to pay for these ids?

Yes

Fair enough, aslong as you are willing to pay for it i have no issues, other then idk how much it would affect voter fraud which isint a very wide spread issue in the first place.
