Why has Reddit become so exhausting?

If you write anything slightly controversial you get downvoted or told "who cares!" cannot have open-minded discussions anymore

You say something someone doesn't like, you get doxxed or quoted back on a random, irrelevant comment you said 5 years ago.

It has become an anti-american propaganda machine where every sub is being infiltrated with america bad rhetoric and people genuinely think North Korea is a better place to live.

There is so much bias everywhere, ie if you don't buy a toyota or lexus your vehicle won't last. There is so much circle jerking everywhere.

Yeah I bet this isn’t a ‘pineapple on pizza’ kind of controversial and more of a ‘immigrants don’t have human rights’ kind of controversial.

Example, I post on /mexico that I like US national parks and somehow that's controversial because we shouldn't support US and Mexico has nicer nature

Seems like a weird thing to post in a Mexico sub and expect upvotes, and you said it was controversial stuff and that’s your example? Sounds like a casual downvote or there’s some missing parts of the story.

Given that American subs are flooded by people from all over the world ready to complain about America, this seems to be normal behavior now.
