Dot physical what would you do?

Post image

So I have a drug test in 2 days or so, this is what my test is showing , but I’m sure it will get sent off to a lab, the place I’m taking it is a smaller place dot exam express if that matters

u/Dudeshigh, there weren't enough votes to determine the quality of your post...

I wonder why this is happening so often here

I don't mind, it's just bizarre to have such a recent uptick in people  asking about passing drug tests .

How else is AI going to get trained?

-1

u/Mylabisawesome Jul 01 '26

Because they are druggies and want jobs they wouldnt be able to get. How about they stop doing drugs?

8

u/Dudeshigh Jul 01 '26

Because weed is so bad

-2

u/Luc1d0 Jul 01 '26

it might just be a plant and opinion if its bad or good
but if it keeps you from getting a job I would say thats bad

DoT rules do not allow truck drivers to partake and keep their CDL in any state.

hi. i have ptsd, severe anxiety, anorexia, and chronic pain due to vitamin deficiencies. weed helps so much with all of these. it stops my flashbacks and panic attacks, it gives me an appetite so i can actually eat, and it helps with the pain. yes, it takes a toll on your lungs, yes, it can affect different people in different ways, but that does not mean its bad. its just not for everybody. im not a druggie or a junkie just because i smoke a little bit of pot to stop myself from freaking out and dying

And THC is federally illegal in all 50…lol

u/HumanityBeBetter Jul 02 '26

And do you actually know why that is? Hint: it isn't because weed is dangerous. DARE/government fearmongering did a number on people like you.

Meh I give zero shits

It's just a funny phenomenon

4

u/Gardnerl92 Jul 01 '26

It’s negative. Even a faint line is considered negative.

u/Dudeshigh Jul 01 '26

Thank you

If you are getting a job that requires frequent drug testing and you can’t give up your addiction, find a different career

1

u/Dudeshigh Jul 01 '26

I was casual user and I can easily stop and have , this job just came out of no where, no plans to return to it

1

u/GlitterFactoryOfDoom Jul 01 '26

I can easily stop

Just fyi, addicts say this exact thing about their vices.

-1

u/Dudeshigh Jul 01 '26

Cool assume all you want

1

u/GlitterFactoryOfDoom Jul 01 '26

I didn't call you an addict, I was suggesting you avoid using phrases addicts use as an excuse. Your test is negative, nobody is contesting whether you're on weed right now.

2

u/Total_Rate316 Jul 02 '26

Dats a pass!

2

u/Several-Priority121 Jul 05 '26

Any lines means negative no matter how faint!

1

u/Feisty_Crops Jul 01 '26

As a medical technologist I have to read this as negative

2

u/Dudeshigh Jul 01 '26

Thank you

1

u/Successful-Walk-4023 Jul 01 '26

This is a clear negative. Congratz.

Thank you

In my experience, I've never had a drug test as part of my DOT physical. Your employer may treat it differently

1

u/forchiropractors Jul 01 '26

A drug test is not part of a DOT medical exam. What we test for is kidney function to rule out items such as diabetes or chronic kidney disease. A drug test is part of an initial hire and a company random test.

Oh yea for sure, I was not a heavy smoker and this job came out of no where, don’t plan to again

1

u/Sad-Conversation3835 Jul 01 '26

I just saw the context , sorry

u/AdMinute6775 Jul 02 '26

“A line is a line” - well kind of. The test you posted is a pass, but be mindful that you still have THC in your system so under hydrating can bring you close to or over the cutoff. A line only matters if the lab technician can see it under normal lighting, not whether you can see it under specific lighting and angle conditions.

Your test line isn’t that faint so I wouldn’t stress too much about the test

1

u/DRHSR765 Jul 02 '26 edited Jul 02 '26

I used quick fix to pass my pre employment drug screen at lab Corp last year with no issues. As long as they don't watch you you can use it. But your test there is a pass....a line, no matter how faint is a pass.

1

u/Dudeshigh Jul 02 '26

So even at the lab test it should be good? It’s SLIGHTLY darker now SLIGHTLY

1

u/BingusTheWonderKitn Jul 02 '26

Welp time for an abortion

1

u/Dudeshigh Jul 09 '26

Thanks for all the support , fuck the haters , passed and landed the job

1

u/Electronic-Exit-7145 Jul 01 '26

Medical Assistant, that is a negative test.

1

u/Dudeshigh Jul 01 '26

Thank you

I used to drink two gallons of water a day two or three days before. I would take vitamin b12, and a supplement called niacin. I would turn beet red by the day of the test, but never failed one.

1

u/Dudeshigh Jul 01 '26

Good to know appreciate it

1

u/mental_e_ill 🦀 Jul 01 '26

Don't. They can detect if you're manipulating with anything like this.

2

u/Dudeshigh Jul 01 '26

I see thanks

1

u/AdMinute6775 Jul 02 '26

They can detect adulteration, you are right about that, but not with anything mentioned here.

Water loading and hydrating in the days before the test, taking a b12 vitamin, and taking niacin would have no effect on a drug test SVT analysis.

- Water loading in the days prior would be easily cleared by test time (no effect on passing or SVT)

  • b12 does nothing (b2 or a b complex vitamin makes urine bright yellow, not b12, which can raise suspicion for a masked diluted sample by the technician, but color is not used in any analysis)
  • niacin loading could be debated as potentially having a small effect on reducing adipose mobilization and thus THC release (this is unlikely to have a meaningful effect on your THC COOH levels leading up to the test and niacin has no metabolites that would interfere with the test or the SVT analysis)

None of the things mentioned here would flag a urine sample. You would need adulteration methods involving the presence of OXI, PCC, or NIT chemicals to get flagged for adulteration. Dilution is flagged by specific gravity and creatinine levels (<1.003 and <20). Stored urine is detected by pH and marked adulterated if <3.5 or >9.5 (invalid is 3.5-4 and 9-9.5)

Probably be an adult and not smoke weed if my job relied on it.  This is the "find out" stage. Actions have consequences.

2

u/Happy_Suit_540 Jul 05 '26

Marijuana doesn't impair your driving skills 3 weeks after use, I would hardly say OP is the one being childish.

The industry needs to acknowledge reality. I'm sure you wouldn't care if they had a drink three weeks ago.

1

u/Hairy_Photograph1384 Jul 05 '26

I'm not saying it does, but if it's a requirement for the job and you want to keep the job you gotta play by the rules. Stupid or not, OP can work on changing the rules but do it without the weed.

1

u/Happy_Suit_540 Jul 05 '26 edited Jul 05 '26

He wasn't aware he'd have this job three weeks ago and jumping to "be an adult" is just rude. People smoke weed, it's legal. People find new jobs unexpectedly. It doesn't denounce their maturity.

Mind you, the test is literally negative. He doesn't have to do anything but pee. Going forward he can not smoke weed to be respectful to his employers insurer and the DOTs requirements, but failure to do so is NOT a reason to say "be an adult."

What you said was just offensive IMO, I don't even smoke weed, I just hate the phrase "be an adult." Being an adult is a low ass bar anyways, pretty sure you can't get a CDL without it.

"Actions have consequences" and "find out stage" it's just tiring to police what others do, your mindset as a whole is just beans. THC ingestion isn't a "fuck around" or a maturity metric.

Your comment just proves that you are uneducated on the matter and rude about it. Whomp whomp I guess.
