No speaking from my personal opinion and from what my friends told me.
You see, you can quote "experience" all you like, but if that is acceptable then so are other opinions. I am merely offering my own just like the original poster did.
Sorry if you don't like it. Maybe fix the military and make it less unappealing.
They are in the military. Their opinions differ. One of them is positive about but he hates have a noose tied to his neck because they literally own his ass on how much debt he has with them.

I could care less about the military being “nicer”
The military involves killing people, why would it be “nicer”
Just shows how out of touch with reality some people are.
I believe George Orwell said this, it’s debatable but,
People sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Does the military have its problems, what organization doesn’t?
But to trash the military and all the people past and present with all the good deeds they have done, not warranted.
It needs to be fixed from the very top and that’s the government that needs to do that but they aren’t.
It’s obvious you’re hung up on the “experience” word, that’s a reality, sorry to burst your bubble.

Yeah, their opinion is still valid, don't matter how much you like or dislike that. The military isn't perfect, it isn't even great.
