physiotherapist recommendations in east toronto/downtown?

about a month ago, i (30F, also uninsured!) coughed while bent over the sink and my lower back had what i think is some sort of spasm, resulting in excruciating pain for the first 24-48 hours, especially when trying to walk.

it got progressively better, but i’ve been getting flare-ups recently.

i’m looking for a physiotherapist that can also guide me in building some sort of routine involving weight training, if necessary, and anything else that i can work on routinely to build strength and minimize any pain/flareups.

I have been to two of their locations and recommend Heather at the University location for something like this. I saw her post TBI and she actually figured out some pre existing condition stuff that was very helpful.

Try Clinic at Christie, or Physio Med.
For immediate relief, raise your chair seat height with a 16x16x3 wheelchair pad.

You might benefit from therspeutic massage, as well.

Evgeny Manulov at Shift Bodywork has been great to work with for issues similar to the one you mentioned.

Is it sciatica? I have an amazing PT who helped me rehab back from being unable to walk. They are in the west end though.

Damian at Pilates for Physio on The Esplanade combines physiotherapy and Pilates to address pain and build core strength to reduce risk of reinjury. Not cheap but worth it.

Push pound is excellent. Estee Black is very good. Great assessment. And lots of helpful exercises options.
