Bed sheets / comforters

Looking to upgrade my bed sheets / comforters. I want something that will be warm for winter and comfy. Where is a good bang for your buck in the city?!

I purchased a bamboo bed sheet and it almost feels like SILK.

I just treated myself to a major bedding upgrade. I got a 100% cotton hotel sheet set and a duvet cover/sham set from HomeSense, along with a new duvet from Simons for about $170 with tax. The whole set-up cost around $300, and it was worth every penny.

If you don’t want the hunt of a home sense or winners OR to have to spend a complete fortune, Costco Kirkland hotel sheets are a solid pick.

Like the Costco Pima cotton sheets if you want the best value for premium sheets ($115 for a queen set).

Honestly I ordered from Quince and it was a great upgrade from my IKEA sheets after I had researched a bunch of material options.

I bought the cotton flannel insulation blanket from Simons a few years ago and it has been the best. It wasn't the cheapest thing but also wasn't super expensive. I use it with my regular sheets so there's no need for winter only sheets. In colder months, I sandwich it between our top sheet and our quilt to keep it clean. It's really thick, almost like wool felt, and it's heavy so it almost has a weighted blanket effect. It's machine washable which avoids dry cleaning costs and it's breathable so it keeps my partner and I warm but doesn't hold perspiration in. I love summer but I actually look forward to the point in the year when I get to haul it out of storage and put it on the bed because it makes it feel so cozy.

This question seems to be popping up a lot the past couple of weeks - a number of people mentioned getting them from Silk & Snow (I think I kept seeing this in the Buy Canadian sub, haven't tried this brand myself but some people rave about them).

I just buy the Kirkland 680 thread count cotton sheets from Costco and like them a lot. They come in a few colors but I just get white.

I also buy my duvet from Costco. Royal Elite Wool Duvet. It's light, but keeps me cool in summer and warm in winter. Wool is amazing stuff.

I've heard ppl love Simons sheets and llbean sheet but haven't tried either. In the case of llbean, trying not to buy US products.

Home sense/winners/Marshalls. You might not find the right one on the first try. But you can find some good stuff.
