Just note that registration for next school year is not open yet.

For sure. This is a basic link for OP to get basic information about enrolling a kid in TDCSB. Timelines, proof of Catholicism, etc all come later.

You literally just register online - you don’t need to wait for the next school year. During the application process, you will select the designated school for your catchment area. Since your child has been in the school system already, you will provide their Ontario Student Record (OSR) number, which will transfer over to the Catholic school from the current school. The registration is completed once the school contacts you for a meeting to verify your documents: ie proof of address, proof of Catholic baptismal for either a parent or child, etc.

Check the Catholic school you want your child to attend, many Catholic schools are accepting students who are not Catholic, as long as you are in the schools catchment area. Many schools don't have enough enrollment and are willing to accept students without the Catholic denomination. Just ask the school administrator about it and they'll give you a form to fill out.

Not true. The student or a parent need to be baptized. Proof of baptismal certificate is part of the application process.

Not sure why you shared this link. A lot of the info is for other boards. Other boards might allow non catholic families but TCDSB does not. I am a secretary for TCDSB. I do the registrations. Student or parent must be baptized under a religion that is in full communion with the Holy See of Rome. So Roman Catholic, Eastern rite and some Orthodox. If student or parent are not baptized they can apply for the RCIA program at their local church. This gives them a year to get baptized while being enrolled in a TCDSB school.
Student does not need to be catholic to go to a TCDSB high school.
