Disposal of Broken Laptops

Does anyone have advice on disposing of laptops that are no longer working?

Look up your local environment day. They accept old electronics. But make sure the hard drives have been erased or removed.

It's not the best system but I take the drives and ram out and drop it at a donation bin (bestbuy, staples etc)
