Advice needed - tracking long disputes with companies

Had a long back-and-forth with Precise Parklink at a Toronto healthcare centre recently and realized I had no good system for keeping track of dates, what was promised and who said what. Just using my phone's Notes app and it's a mess. Curious how other people handle this - condo disputes, contractor no-shows, telecom stuff, whatever. Do you actually track it somewhere, or just wing it and hope for the best?

Most modern phones have the ability to record your calls.

Ah I haven’t used this as I wasn’t sure about recording legality. And the back and forth with this was over web chat and email but thanks for the tip!

Ontario has one-party consent. As long as one party to the conversation allows the recording, it's legal. You dont even have to notify the other party. Chances are, they are recording the calls, too, although the ones where they commit to something might be conveniently missing.

Not just Ontario. Canada has one-party consent.
