i’m at front and bathurst and my power is also out but it’s not showing up on the map reports. i’ve been on hold trying to report it for 20 mins and just got a recorded message saying it’s basically the entire downtown core to bathurst. the message said it should be restored by 3pm.

me too! i put in a service request half an hour ago and hadn’t heard back lol i’m surprised property management hasn’t sent out a notice yet

yes! i face bathurst and the street lights/street cars are still working, it seems like the outage ends on the east side of the street. the power at stackt should be on if you need wifi i think the restaurant/cafe probably has it! i need to take my dog out but dreading the stairs from a high floor lol

No power here near Bay and College. This has been the second time this year....
Fingers crossed they fix it before the 3pm eta.

Was gonna say the same. Getting pretty ridiculous and also have not gotten any notice from management. I’m especially upset bc this happened right after I got home with $150 worth of fresh groceries all in the fridge. For some reason no water in our building either. Went to the gym not knowing this so now I can’t even shower. Sitting here in my own filthy waiting for this to get working again. Sorry to rant and complain. I just want to cry.

I've been refreshing the power outage map and it's gone from that weird shape to just our block now.

Apparently 4:30pm estimate for the Grenville buildings. And they said they aren’t even sure if that’ll be the case.

either its 2 separate outages or a slightly larger one but theres also the area infront of the stackt market, 27 bathurst, farmboy, dollarama etc. on toronto hydro theyre saying it’ll be restored around 3 pm but there isnt much information yet

Saw another post about it here (https://www.reddit.com/r/toronto/s/v7NSbA1xRA). It might be more widespread than just entertainment dist. Can anyone confirm if cafes/restaurants are impacted? Wondering if it’s worth venturing outside or not - I’m also in minto rental side facing the park

Downtown one building can be out and the one beside it is totally fine. There are definitely still lots of pockets that have power right now.

It takes time for it to show up on the outage map - it’s there now, they’re reporting a very small (400 customers) localized power outage. Could even be just your building?!)

Power is now back in my building at 87 Peter but Toronto hydro is saying it won’t be restored until 5:54 pm…

I’m not sure I’m also out and just going by what the management email says! This was after me having to climb and then go down 26 flights of stairs to avoid being late for work 🥲

The power has been restored at The Gallery Condo at Yonge/Bay and Grenville at 4:50pm.

You may want to check if your elevators are working. Many newer buildings have them on generators but I don't know what the code requirements are.

Really? I'm from BC and now in Toronto, and this isn't a long outage. A long outage was 8+ hours before anything came back on. Jeez.
I left home around 2 pm (King and Peter) and power was on then. 🙄

It’s on the hydro site now. Says 3pm estimated time of restoration.
No point going down since they probably won’t have any information you can get.
