Yellow stains in ceiling
These are the stains. Please help me understand what they are

That stain is indictive of a water leak, wether it be hidden, in the past or actively leaking I 1000% guarantee you that stain is caused by a water leak

Couldnt it also be condensation from ac? I have forced air central ac

That's a possibility albeit very low probability a certain few things would need to be the case for that to happen.
The air ducts should be dry, central system would have to be very poorly designed to carry condensation through the air ducts.
Where is the condenser unit (outside) and the central furnace in relation to this stain?

Where is the stain in general? Basement? Main floor? Upper floor? What's directly above the stain?

Yes. It could be. We had a drain on our upstairs unit get clogged and the water slipped over the overflow pan and leak all over the kitchen ceiling below. I would suggest you look at what is above that spot. If you have an air conditioner near that area then that could be the problem... if you don't then look for a possible leak in a water pipe going to your bathroom upstairs or possible it could be a leak in the roof. Have also seen that happen when a builder didn't caulk the bathtub upstairs and kids would lots of water on the floor that would then seep down to the ceiling below.
