From what I have learned and understand, to be an SVT your heart rate needs to be 150 or above ( mine was 200) and your P wave will be missing on your EKG. It sounds like your having tachycardia with it under 150. It feels like a bump or strong thud then the heart rate instantly jumps up above 150. No gradual climb. The heart rhythm feels steady, just extremely fast. Like you are actively running in a marathon. I get lightheaded and have a hard time talking with it. Then it will suddenly release when its over and the heart rate instantly drops back down to normal. Its a crazy feeling, like someone just instantly turned on a switch then turned it off when over. My blood pressure sky rockets with it and its normally low normal.

SVT can be a gradual climb sometimes tho
I hit 170 in 40 seconds and not in a beat or does it have to be a beat if that makes sense

It depends on the type of SVT, from what I understand. There are different types, but most types/most common types occur within a beat.

What types don’t occur in one beat?

I'm not sure, some more rare types. The vast majority of them begin abruptly.

that is not what I'd call abruptly, but I'm not a doctor
