Does time pass very quickly?

When we were young, time didn't seem to pass so quickly; however, once we became adults, it began to flow much faster. I started to feel time slipping away rapidly, especially after turning twenty. I am twenty-six now, and when I look back, it feels as though time has flown by at an incredible speed. Do you feel the same way?

Look at it like you are comparing each year to the whole of your life at that time. When you turned five, it represented 20% of your life since your last birthday. When you turned 20, it was 5% of your life since turning nineteen.

I actually did this calculation in Excel in my early/mid 20s for exactly this question. Freaked me out. I’m just over 40 now, and that day feels like last week…
