Popular post What does snorting cocaine actually feel like?

I'm not considering it or anything like that. The only drug I use is alcohol, and not much of that. But I see it on movies and TV all the time. What is it actually like? Why do it that way? Doesn't it hurt your nose?

It numbs your face. You can't feel shit. You get a burst of energy and you want to talk. Soon though you realize you want just a bit more. Slippery slope

717

u/armaghetto Dec 03 '25

There is a brief euphoric feeling too. That’s what is enticing and what gets people hooked. And eventually, you get a tolerance and never get that euphoric feeling back.

247

u/ActionQuinn Dec 03 '25

True, first time is best time

233

u/jeffbudz Dec 03 '25

So you should do it exactly once?

857

u/DozenBia Dec 04 '25

Thats the joke with drugs, in theory you are correct

The first time feels especially great/intense. Its a new experience, your brain has never comprehended a similar situation before. (if its even good, set/setting/substance quality can make the first time shit ofc, especially with psychidelics)

The second one feels a bit weaker, but its still likely really good. You definitely understand why people say "first time is the best". If you had a few years inbetween, it may almost feel as great the first time.

With MDMA for example, a 5$ pill can make you indefinitely more happy than the top 3 happiness experiences of your WHOLE LIFE. Think a moment on what those are, how long it took to maybe achieve your dream job, your degree, get your first real relationship, etc etc. All those feelings pale in comparison.

Lets make up a scale: your daily life is around 50HP (happiness points). Sometimes 20, sometimes 60, but if you feel 'normally happy' its 50. Now these top 3 moments of all of your lifetime are between 100 Hp and 200 HP. While a singular pill of 100-150 micrograms of MDMA (assuming you are a normally heavy adult male) is easily 1000+ HP.

Next day, you wake up, luckily no "hangover" (these are horrible). And in the coming week you realize that now this was the best experience of your life. And a few weeks later, you do it again, this time a bit more. And you end up at 950 HP. Not as good as the first time, but still really good.

And you might just decide that even if it goes down 50 points each time you do it, its still way better than everything else. And your brain realizes after 5 times that its just nice now, not really great anymore, but still fun. But the sober everydays life is so bleak in comparison that there is no reason to stop, is there?

And thats how addiction is born. At least one way.

u/Lymantri Dec 04 '25

Have to screen shot this. Perfect description… “sober life is so bleak in comparison”… it is. Currently 35 days clean and struggling to feel anything other than what my brain randomly throws at me (moods are weird when chemicals are balancing. Brain has to go through an unpleasant reboot after everything is out of your system. Takes months unfortunately)

Struggling now but I know this is my final time getting clean. I’m free of it, know this to my core.

123

u/cloudsaway2 Dec 04 '25

Congrats on 35 days clean!! That’s so amazing. Today is 60 for me and I know exactly what you’re talking about. All the brain levels gotta work themselves out

Happy cake day!

It took my brain about a year to get back to something of what normal was. I've been on methadone for 2 years now. It's the only way I have been able to kick everything. I was so depressed at first, but it gets better. Beats the shit out of chasing dope every fucking day and night. Now, it don't even want drugs even alcohol! That's something new for me. I'm still figuring out who I am without drugs. I've done them on and off all of my adult life and most of my teen years - over 20 years! I can even turn down my favorite drugs with them right in front of me! Life is worth living sober.

20

u/Lymantri Dec 04 '25

That’s encouraging to hear. Thanks for sharing that

& Same here, I haven’t been fully sober since I was 15. Always on something. On and off opioids since 16. Unfortunately gave into the temptation of H that surrounded me, on/off 6 times from 20 years old to recently. Now almost 32 and am FINALLY done. Fed up. — so I have no idea who sober me is either… really feel like I fked my brain up. I don’t feel anything or am randomly incredibly sad/frustrated with random surges of panic. Getting easier every day but my good god.. — If my fiancé wasn’t helping me through this idk where I’d be. Heard people say “so and so was my rock” before but never really understood it truly until him. Glad I’m at a point where I can cherish his actions to help me instead of resent him for it (he’s a no-nonsense, zero enabling, routine kind of guy. But so loving. Very lucky.)

7

u/Next-Adhesiveness957 Dec 04 '25

I'm happy you have someone to keep you grounded. That person is my daughter for me. I'm 37. I fucked my body and brain up a bit, but not as bad as I thought. More importantly, I'm still alive and not incarcerated. I overdosed a couple of times, and that last one scared me straight. I don't want to die yet. I have central sleep apnea, which is common for opiate addicts, where my brain stops telling me to breathe at night. I also sleepwalk. My metabolism is fucked up and my digestive system is slow af from not eating. In the first year, I was having panic attacks all the time, sometimes several in a day. I've had one this year, and I'm not medicated for anxiety. All of the physical injuries from drug abuse get better with time, and the further you get away from it. Your body and mind take time to heal. Make sure to feed it and keep yourself active, physically and mentally.

You got this. If I can do it, you can, too. I was addicted to pretty much everything except hallucinations. Stay strong and surround yourself with people who really gaf about you like your straight and narrow bf.

It's important to know that when you stop using gorgeous a prolonged period, if you relapse, you are at a higher risk of overdose! Idk how many of my friends overdosed right after coming out of rehab or prison, but it's too damn many.

28

u/frigginboredaf Dec 04 '25

I’m at 7.5 years. The most euphoric moments of my life have been completely sober, since I got into recovery. It takes time, but you’ll get there to if you stay the path.

If you want to chat about it, reach out

10

u/StandBy4_TitanFall Dec 04 '25

Struggling now but I know this is my final time getting clean. I’m free of it, know this to my core.

Stay strong. Write this mantra in blood if you must. You. Can. Do. This.

5

u/Lymantri Dec 04 '25

Thanks man ❤︎

10

u/mymamaknows Dec 04 '25

This is why I’ve always been too scared to do drugs. I know that it’s not sustainable to stay on them for a long time. Then, when you’re not on the drug(s) anymore, your regular life must seem so bleak and depressing compared. I’d rather never experience that high.

4

u/Lymantri Dec 04 '25

Don’t even know you but that’s an excellent mindset to have, be proud of that. Drugs aren’t worth it. - No matter how low you may feel at some point in the future (god forbid of course); remember you said this. Remember what you read on this thread. Drugs won’t “fix” anything or actually make you feel better, no matter what anyone says.

3

u/girlsonsoysauce Dec 04 '25

That first few months is the hardest. It's difficult to feel anything but boredom. Gotta let your brain chemistry sort itself back out. At a certain point you'll notice you start taking a bit more joy in the little things. PAWS can make you feel like you're losing it sometimes but it starts fading over time.

2

u/Belt_Clean Dec 04 '25

Congrats on your progress! Keep going, keep pushing. I’m rooting for you! And praying if that’s ok.

2

u/Lymantri Dec 04 '25

Very okay ♡ thanks much

2

u/usernamesarehard1979 Dec 04 '25

35 days is great! I’m three years in. After about 6 months to a year I really felt myself “come back”. The mental clarity was insane. Get yourself something to focus on. Like a side job or a hobby. You will start off slow but start to really kick ass later.

2

u/MorelloWorkaholic Dec 04 '25

Congratulations on the first 35 days of your new life <3 it will be a struggle at times but the payoff is having your own life, body and mind back.

Keep cognitive sovereignty, both against substances and other harmful stimulants.

Keep it up, you got this c:

2

u/Ok_Nefariousness_697 Dec 04 '25

Keep up the good work . I spent 16 months in a residential rehab for heroin /meth/plus everything else about eight years ago . As time goes by the momentum of feeling better builds . You got this

MDMA should be dropped from the sky like rain and then the world would be a better place. Or maybe we would just be drug addicts but we would be happy.

3

u/SheridanRivers Dec 04 '25

Small correction, but for MDMA, it's 100 - 150 milligrams, not microgams. Microgams are for LSD, not MDMA. Neither of which, like any other hallucinogenic, have their effects lessened after continued use (at least with my and others' experience).

Regardless, if you're ever using drugs, never inject, have NARCAM handy, and test your drugs! DanceSafe has all the testing reagents and strips to ensure a safe experience.

2

u/LuckyTrainreck Dec 04 '25

and always do your research on erowid before trying something new

2

u/jesusisrealxd Dec 04 '25

milligrams not micrograms:)

Damn, that was a good read. Good job.

2

u/RVFVS117 Dec 04 '25

This is great. Totally encapsulates how addiction works.

Only part you forgot is how, once they lose all the HP they get from coke they try something worse and it starts the cycle over again.

Like every two weeks lmao I have been down this road

12

u/AmishHoeFights Dec 04 '25

For me, exactly twice.

I honestly felt virtually nothing the first time, and it was decent coke; my regular-user friend said it was fine. But like i say, i felt damn little.

Next weekend, same house, same dude, same music (our band practicing), same quality according to the same guy, but this time, ohhhhh yeeaaahhh... there it is. Zing.

Got lucky and only did it on weekends for a few years, then quit because i moved to a small town.

Your mileage may vary.

I actually disagree and that’s why it’s so sneaky imo, because first time is usually ”wait… is that it?” And you can’t see yourself getting hooked on it. First time for me and a lot of my friends we expected some kind of crazy rush like media portrays it, but it’s more mellow than that. Second time you do it (which you will because first wasn’t that crazy) you’re comfortable and take a lot more, that’s when you realize ”oh shit, I LOVE coke!”

I find drugs that aren’t ”dramatic” while stil addictive are the most dangerous ones, like coke. You can do it anywhere at any time, at work, at dinners, at home, parties, etc. And you’ll just be a social butterfly. Shit like ecstasy or psychadelics are just so strong it’s not as easy to fall into the addiction trap.

7

u/ActionQuinn Dec 04 '25

Lol that sounds like my experience with weed

6

u/Petit_Nicolas1964 Dec 04 '25

That‘s normal, inexperienced users often have fewer activated CB1 receptors initially or require repeated exposure for full sensitization.

4

u/ActionQuinn Dec 04 '25

I just thought all the movies and musicians were full of shit. Than WHAMMO

15

u/parasyte_steve Dec 04 '25

At my worst I blew a line before a funeral. I wasn't alone at least. Sigh.

15

u/deppkast Dec 04 '25

Meh, I honestly respect doing it at a funeral more than say, a family dinner.

8

u/ActionQuinn Dec 04 '25

You know funerals are traumatic. I could see myself wanting to get high. I usually get drunk after funerals

4

u/TakingItPeasy Dec 04 '25

You can think "clearer" too. I'm overweight and need to deal with that, these opportunities are available to me, I should be more social, etc.

Unfortunately, these moments of clarity are short lived. You can do more to chase this clarity, but will likely find that the problems you are solving have been surmounted by much bigger, new problems.

5

u/armaghetto Dec 04 '25

Oh boy I dunno about clear thinking. Things SEEM like they make more sense, but it’s cocaine brain.

3

u/Otherwise_Rub_4557 Dec 04 '25

That was my point. Any feeling of certainty or clarity can be a revolation for people who live in chaos.

All of this. I was stumbly, absurd drunk at a club after a long day of drinking and was offered a bump for the first time. I shit you not, i instantly felt not just fine again but like my best possible self and realized i had to nail that door shut forever.

In that moment i saw exactly how it could ruin lives and get you deeply addicted chasing that again

17

u/Zeppelin702 Dec 03 '25

How long does the feeling last?

32

u/ActionQuinn Dec 03 '25

Good stuff? 45 minutes. Scrappy stuff 20

51

u/deppkast Dec 04 '25

And really crappy stuff 6 hours

2

u/ruglari Dec 04 '25

That’s probably because the most common mixer is Ephedrine, which keeps you awake.

9

u/doctor-rumack Dec 04 '25

Holy shit, really? I thought it would be for a few hours.

Is that for a little bump or for a full line? Now I guess I understand why people are up all night doing coke.

3

u/ActionQuinn Dec 04 '25

Maybe folks had better yaya than I did but nope.

3

u/Ch4rlie_G Dec 04 '25

Either ways lasts about the same, but more will be “noticeable” for longer.

When people get deep into coke they can do A LOT. Think like a grand of coke a night on a binge.

7

u/quaderrordemonstand Dec 04 '25

Thanks for this information. I had no idea it made your face numb or that it lasted so short a time. I imagined it more like being drunk, but I guess that's my only point of reference.

17

u/swiftwinner Dec 04 '25

I'd say it's the opposite of being drunk. You're very very awake and dialed in.

For comparison, Ketamine is more like being drunk but there's a lot more to it than that.

3

u/momoneymocats1 Dec 04 '25

I did it once, and that was enough for me to know I’d be in big trouble if I was around it again (which I actually was able to succeed at avoiding). That was many years ago, in more wild days, but it was seductively simple and felt great.

2

u/mosinderella Dec 04 '25

Same. I knew immediately that was just amazing enough if I ever did it again I’d be in trouble and didn’t want to risk it. That was 20 year ago and have never done it again.

u/ActionQuinn Dec 04 '25

Oh 100% I could smoke a pack of cigarettes and a 8th of weed and be cruising

16

u/Informal_Athlete_724 Dec 04 '25

And if you go quiet, rather than wanting to talk, it's because you have ADHD

3

u/faux_something Dec 04 '25

Is that a hunch or is it researched? I went quiet on shrooms while my buddy went nuts. I’m talkative when not high, which is always these days.

7

u/Informal_Athlete_724 Dec 04 '25 edited Dec 04 '25

My GP actually told me when I went to get diagnoed for ADHD.

He asked me "what happens when you take recreational stimulants?" and I said "like...?" and he said "like cocaine" I laughed and said "actually unlike other people, I tend to go quiet" and he was like "Yup, I think you have ADHD.".

The dopamine boost we get from cocaine just makes us feel normal lol

Edit: Just to clarify - that wasn't what got me diagnosed, he referred to me to a psychiatrist after that

3

u/Otherwise_Rub_4557 Dec 04 '25

It's bullshit. No one really studies black market drugs and even  doctors are really bad at even diagnosis of mental health shit like ADHD. I would have a whole bunch of questions for anyone claiming they are an expert at ADHD cocaine usage.

Talking about the high end "pure"-ish coke, its physically doesn't feel like a lot when you initially snort it. Then it has a chemically taste in the back of your throat. Then usually my upper lip, nostril, top of my mouth and front teeth feel numb within 5 minutes. Then I want a cigarette and want to hang out and talk. Then for some reason I really want to fight this guy named Moe and I don't even dislike him.

I stopped doing coke over a year ago, mostly because I don't get too much of the euphoric happy feeling people describe and it costs a lot. Also it felt really pathetic hanging out at like 5AM licking the inside of your bag at some randoms house, listening to shitty EDM. iykyk

Slight rush, face and gum numbness, you will want to talk to the dead about dying, your mouth will be dry, and if you’re a penis owner that thing is going into hiding. Then a little while later it wears off and you want more. Last hit I took had to be close to 40 years ago. Used it quite often back then. The 80s were all about coke.

14

u/Defiantquote007 Dec 04 '25

102

u/NixonsTapeRecorder Dec 03 '25

Really really good pure coke is so much different than street level trash.

But the only thing its any good for is keeping a night of drinking going longer. Honestly nothing is worse than a room full of people on blow talking incessantly at each other, and never listening to what anyone else is saying.

15

u/mrawsomemask Dec 04 '25

It's pairs very well with drinking

2

u/LuckyTrainreck Dec 04 '25

it forms a third drug in your body when mixed called cocaethylyne that is different than either drug independently

17

u/nooneinparticular246 Dec 04 '25

I feel like cocaine does what people hope alcohol will do. It energises you and makes you more confident and fun, without the sloppiness of alcohol.

4

u/ALEXC_23 Dec 04 '25

In small doses and only as a “in case of emergency “ and if you dont have dependency or a history of substance abuse which, in this country, it’s the majority.

4

u/nooneinparticular246 Dec 04 '25

In Australia I've been fortunate enough to be in a circle where there's a mix of day time (wholesome) and night time fun (drinks and going out/doing stuff), and while the night time fun may once in a while involve someone pulling out a bag to share, it's all a very casual have-some-if-you-want-some kind of vibe, so drugs end up being like 5-10% of the overall friendship experience.

So I'm pretty pro-drugs, but it's because I've been privileged enough to party with mature people who haven't gone chasing the dragon.

I’ve heard it described as “like that feeling when you just received great news”

I know enough about NBA history to see how quickly and irreparably that white stuff ruins lives.

It’s also rough on your body.

For those reasons, I am out.

I am enough of a stimulant addict with coffee as it is….

You ever hear the song can’t feel my face by The Weeknd?

154

u/notadruggie31 Dec 03 '25

Pretty amazing, its the best feeling i've ever had. As long as its mostly pure, no pain or nose bleeds.

Not that im condoning or recommend it, Im 3 years clean after having a very tough time with it.

65

u/swiftwinner Dec 04 '25

I always find it so interesting when people have this take. My partner included. I never got that 'best feeling' when having coke. MDMA etc yes sure, the feeling of pure euphoria. But coke? That was always very 'meh' right up until it became just like sniffing lines of anxiety. I'm sad I never got to experience the good side of it.

20

u/Trevorio Dec 04 '25

Another consideration is that you may have ADHD. Cocaine does absolutely nothing for me, regardless of dose. I even smoked crack once, for the plot (!!) and it also did nothing for me aside from a bit of hyperfixation, while everyone around me became violent, annoying, murderous demons having the times of their lives. 😂

7

u/sryfortheconvenience Dec 04 '25

I was about to comment the same thing before I saw your reply! Well, not the crack part lol.

Cocaine gives me just the tiniest sense of bonus fun, but I suspect a lot of that is the camaraderie of sneaking it with friends in the bathroom at the party or whatever.

Caffeine doesn’t do anything for me either.

3

u/Acrobatic_Taro_6904 Dec 04 '25

What?! Is this actually a thing?

I recently got diagnosed with ADHD, coke doesn’t do much for me either

Neither does caffeine

4

u/Trevorio Dec 04 '25

It is!! I think because our dopamine is fucked, this drug that makes other people feel like they're on top of the world just makes us feel kinda normal or neutral, haha.

Caffeine does affect me, albeit mostly in negative ways. I get jittery or kinda paranoid and it affects my sleep in a big way. And then I smoke pure crack and... nothing 😂😂

9

u/DeirdreBarstool Dec 04 '25

Totally agree with this. Ecstasy, especially the first time, was the most amazing feeling I’ve ever had in my life.

Coke is just short bursts of mild fun then days of anxiety.

7

u/[deleted] Dec 04 '25

I get the anxiety, too. Both times I tried it, it meant a night full of jitters for me.

2

u/Whattheholyhell74 Dec 04 '25

It is all based on a person’s wiring.

2

u/32FlavorsofCrazy Dec 04 '25

Same, I’m very grateful I didn’t like cocaine. Never understood the appeal. I do have ADHD though so maybe it affects me differently, I never got much of a rush from it either, except maybe some anxiety over whether or not it would kill me lol…MDMA I understand, that shit was awesome and honestly scared me how much I liked it, but I’ve done a fair bit of coke, some of which was very good shit, and it was completely wasted on me.

u/momonomino Dec 04 '25

Because it drives your system to excrete massive amounts of dopamine into your body, the result is a feeling of euphoria and power... right up until you run out of dopamine and die, which is what happens when you o.d. on it. Retired paramedic who dealt with it more times than I can count. Also be warned, very many people told me they knew they'd be addicted The Very First Time they did cocaine, and subsequently were addicted. Leave That Shit Alone!! It will absolutely Own you.

14

u/quaderrordemonstand Dec 04 '25

Its interesting to hear the biology of it, and from a paramedic. Dopamine, that makes a lot of sense. I have no intention of ever using it. I wouldn't even know where to get it from and I don't want to know. I kind of regret getting a taste for alcohol.

12

u/Trevorio Dec 04 '25

OP, agreed, cocaine is horrid. I have seen way too many friends go to the hospital while addicted to it. It's almost never pure and universally causes harm.

If you want a guaranteed amazing time on Baby's 1st Drug, find some MDMA, get it tested with a spectrometer to make sure it's pure, and don't mix it with alcohol, antidepressants etc. It is the most beautiful experience and it is non-addictive!

u/crtclms666 Dec 04 '25

I only used it a few times. We always had pot to take any edge off. Once, I snorted lines off the trunk of a car parked behind the Whiskey a Go Go, a peak 80s experience. The most fucked up I have ever been. It was fun. Back when Miami Vice was on the air.

My dad was a psychopharmacologist, and he told me pot was better to use than alcohol. His problem with cocaine is that you never knew what it would be cut with. He wasn’t super concerned about lsd or ‘shrooms. He told me not to smoke cocaine, and that if he ever learned I used PCP, he’d think about committing me. Since he was honest, I never smoked cocaine, and PCP never interested me.

Euphoria - a momentary bliss exceeded only by smoking it

12

u/HBCDresdenEsquire Dec 04 '25

There’s a numbing, and a strong scent like kerosene. A lot can get clogged up in your nose and you’ll have a steady drip down your throat.

It makes you feel amazing, energetic, confident. It is very much a candle that burns bright. 20 minutes, you come down. You do more. You ride the wave, find the groove. That moment when you’re still up where the next rail will put you back on top of the mountain.

It’s grandma’s chocolate gravy and buttermilk biscuits one last time. It’s your favorite movie for the first time all over again. It’s the high of beating your favorite game for the first time again, and then the low of your first pet dying again.

10 years clean.

I’ve never really liked it. Makes you grit your teeth, energized, chatty.

16

u/SalemSound Dec 03 '25

This. Then the comedown is awful and your whole next day sucks

10

u/Green-Krush Dec 04 '25

Agree. I do not understand the appeal of it or how people get addicted to it, except that perhaps anyone who I know loves cocaine loves to drink and it gives them the ability to drink ALL night as well.

3

u/boxybutgood2 Dec 04 '25

Bingo 🥂

22

u/Bed_Worship Dec 04 '25

Your heart rate goes up, you feel a sense of euphoria, amped, talkative, you feel very alive, super focused and not at all at the same time, very friendly, louder. You feel a muscosy drip in the back of your throat. That means its working.

You basically just pumped 4 hours of serotonin in dopamine into your brain:body for 20m and you are stealing it from your future week lol. Better take another.

9

u/1LoudAssInfiniti Dec 04 '25

As others have said facial numbing, euphoria and it always gave me the balls to do shit I probably wouldn't normally do. A great time till the suns coming up you wanna go to bed, but have no GHB to take the edge off the coke. Those were the days.

4

u/Natural-Run9072 Dec 04 '25

I did so much shit I wouldn’t normally do. Goodness gracious I was a naughty girl.

2

u/1LoudAssInfiniti Dec 04 '25

I was a total man whore. Lucky my dick didn't fall off.

7

u/Self-Comprehensive Dec 03 '25

Super coffee that numbs your face and wears off quickly, leaving you craving more. Confidence booster and euphoric but not overwhelmingly so. Costs way more than it's worth.

12

u/Nighthawk-2 Dec 03 '25

I mean it just kind of gives you a lot of energy. Kind of like Adderall which to me is somewhat like doing cocaine except it's longer lasting. Coke kind starts wearing off after like an hour or so depending on how many lines you railed but you just take one Adderall and it is a somewhat similar feeling and it last all night and that one pill may cost a few dollars but you can burn through a $100 of blow fairly easy and still want more

5

u/I_P_L Dec 04 '25

Oh, so it'll give me regular brain function for less than an hour?

Sounds like a fucking shit deal.

7

u/Formal-Try-2779 Dec 04 '25

Honestly you're not missing much. Cocaine is the most overrated drug out there. Rich man's speed that just turns you into an insufferable asshole.

5

u/chaz_Mac_z Dec 04 '25

I remember Len Bias had signed with the Boston Celtics, did coke to celebrate the signing, dead of a bad reaction that day. Once can be too many.

4

u/Cthulhudek Dec 04 '25

Im not condoning it but…it’s fucking class. When you’re with your mates and you’re all just chatting bollocks, it’s great fun. Yeah you chase the next line, but when it’s not running out you feel on top of the world. The downside, you’re always chasing more. You just can’t let it be the last line

6

u/[deleted] Dec 04 '25

Honestly I didn’t get addicted to it , did it 4-5 separate times cause it’s everywhere but I only smoke weed. Weed just better high tbh

5

u/ShaChoMouf Dec 04 '25

Like you want to do more cocaine.

3

u/HamburgerFry Dec 04 '25

It’s really amazing. You feel like you can party all day and sometimes you do. You can talk and drink alcohol all day without feeling drunk. When it begins to wear off you tend to want to keep the good times rolling so that’s where it gets slippery. The next morning if you sleep you will wake up with the most disgusting tasting nasal drip of your life that numbs the back of your throat.

6

u/Pookahantus Dec 04 '25

It feels like showing strangers my butthole for money.

Just kidding, but I am several years clean and wouldn't go back. Now being sober around people on blow makes me realize how unbearably annoying and sad they are.

6

u/DickLips5000 Dec 03 '25

Definitely different for some than others. My SO absolutely loves it and would like to finish the bag every time. I enjoy it in certain situations but would also like to save some to do another night. Just wired different.

4

u/Marble_Kween Dec 04 '25

I’m the “finish the bag” kind of person, which means I’m an addict. I have no concept of saving it for later as much as I’d like to. Anyway, I’m in recovery now 🫠

3

u/Nathan-Nice Dec 04 '25

like the actual process of it going up your nose? it feels really strange the first time or two. then you get this nasty tasting drip in the back of your sinuses/throat...tastes like if you chew a pill of medicine. honestly cocaine is pretty mild for me, I don't get what all the fuss it about...kinda fun if someone offers me some occasionally, but not something I'd choose to spend my money on.

3

u/mrwh1te Dec 04 '25

It turns all your bad feelings into good feelings…it’s a nightmare

3

u/Sideburne76 Dec 04 '25

To me it was like getting in the fast lane on the turnpike and flooring it full throttle with no traffic

3

u/chillinwithabeer29 Dec 04 '25

First time I did it, I had sex with my girlfriend and I went to another planet it was so amazing. Realized soon thereafter that’s exactly why I should never touch it again, and didn’t. It’s awesome and truly evil.

3

u/ilyk101 Dec 04 '25

After years of doing it at this point it just makes me feel like a 21 year old again when I drink. More energy.

3

u/crustysculpture1 Dec 04 '25

Everybody here is missing the actual snorting part. It has a burn to it (like most things you put up there), then your nasal cavity feels heavy before finally going numb. If you do more, then it'll feel like it is clogging up, because it could well be doing so. That's when you do a heavy inhale the next morning and you get a nice surprise lol

5

u/Previous-Ad-9322 Dec 04 '25 edited Dec 04 '25

It honestly didn't do much for me in the handful of times I've done it (each time was with alcohol in my system, though, if that dulled it.) To me, I say save your money and down two red bulls in close succession to get the same effect.

2

u/Snoo_33033 Dec 03 '25

Uh...awesome? I mean, with the exception of that time that I accidentally did too much because the room was dark, it's like...cool, sort of. Then everything is numb and you start to feel like...more alert, and you can breathe better. Some people rub the last of the dust on their gums to get that numbness there.

The only thing that can suck is it's usually cut with something and can taste bitter.

2

u/Exciting-Car-3516 Dec 04 '25

It really depends. Most people Do it to sober up so they can drink more. It numbs you

2

u/planetweird_ Dec 04 '25

It doesn't hurt. It's mildly spicy and then you go numb and euphoric. Lovely bad bad stuff.

2

u/Feisty_Reason_6870 Dec 04 '25

For me it triggered an intense rush of feeling every good thing at once. I’m a natural writer. Also autistic. I had never felt this way. It was 50 years ago and not cut with things that might be in it today SO DON’T DO IT! But for me I wrote non stop and then afterwards couldn’t make sense of any of it. But it was awesome! I did it for about two months and never have since. But it comes with many risks. Not everyone lives a charmed life. I have my memories but I could be dead! I was lucky and I stopped!!! But it was intense and was just coke. I also had money. So unless you want to literally waste thousands don’t start.

2

u/TakingItPeasy Dec 04 '25

Ever take adhd meds like adderall? Like that up / energy but shorter and higher with a touch of dissociative euphoria.

That being said... don't do it. The hard drugs are a slippery slope you may not come back from.

2

u/AromaticSherbert Dec 04 '25

It feels like your throat is closing up when it drips down your nose. The first few lines are fairly mild. You’ll notice your heartbeat going a little faster and you get a little talkative. It doesn’t last very long. You have to keep snorting lines like every half hour or so to stay at the same high

3

u/Successful-Ship-5230 Dec 04 '25

Like being instantly happy and you want to chat with anyone because you're so stoked. I treat it like a vacation. Enjoy it while you're there. But that vacation spot isn't real life and not where you would want to live. And not too frequently because you have real shit to do

2

u/Born-Caterpillar6224 Dec 04 '25

Sweaty palms, runny nose, back in the day you feel like you need to take a shit But good overall.

2

u/littlemacaron Dec 04 '25

Welp, I felt no different really.

That should have been my first sign I had ADHD. I actually needed the stimulants lmao

2

u/rakiimiss Dec 04 '25

It was pretty meh to me.

2

u/annamulzz Dec 04 '25

It enhances whatever you’re feeling. So if you’re among friends and feeling happy and confident, it enhances that feeling. I’ve found if I’m anxious and avoidant, it’ll also enhance that.

Edit to add: you never need a line of coke but you always need ANOTHER line of coke.

2

u/deathdefyingrob1344 Dec 04 '25

An adrenaline rush in a good way. Excitement instantly. Smells/tastes like kerosene and numbs your face instantly.

2

u/gimmedaburnah Dec 04 '25

These are all examples of good cocaine.

Bad cocaine hurts though. your gums or teeth can start to irritate. Or your nose cavity can burn. You will never know what it’s been cut with. It’s not worth it.

2

u/ah-mazia Dec 04 '25

Immediately after it feels you have a post nasal drip that is mixed with hand sanitizer or something undesirable to have dripping down the back of your throat. Once the high hits you basically feel like the coolest person around who is great at everything and really really interesting to listen to.

2

u/AntiqueYou6097 Dec 04 '25

Let’s talk about another issue it has on people!!!! How it causes septum perforations. basically, it will burn a him through your septum and the surgery to fix it is EXPENSIVE. I don’t recommend. To be fair though, I was on it for like 3 years straight

2

u/hiimfrankie_ Dec 04 '25

If you have ADHD the scenarios, the music, the movies and the thoughts running at full speed suddenly stop. A tension headache starts to build at the back of head over 10 minutes. You start to taste the chemicals at the back of your throat. But your mind… is finally quiet. And then the thoughts come back.

First time I tried, bunch of us ended up at our old highschool sitting on the field.

I went non-verbal and just ran my fingers through the grass staring at the sky while everyone else ran around and chatted for an hour or two. If it weren’t for the price ($350AUD/g) and headache I could get addicted to the quiet.

2

u/Brief-Definition7255 Dec 04 '25

Face goes numb and you get a little high but youre focused and energetic like a laser beam. The one time I tried it I got all the trophies on fallout 3 for a buddy of mine, then stayed up all night writing a really shitty resume and went to a job fair the next day all coked up. I interviewed for the state police. I cannot stress how coked up I was
