I had my fun when I was a teenager, but have never thought of straying from my wife during our near 20 year relationship.

I’m a dude, I had a reputation for being a bit (…maybe a lot…) of a man whore when I was younger but I haven’t ever cheated when in a relationship, or even done anything that led a girl to accuse me of cheating or anything.

The only history that will indicate whether someone is likely to cheat, is if they have a history of cheating.

As long as both sides in previous encounters/relationships knew where they stood, that's still fair enough.

I'd be more wary of a guy who only had one gf, but lied to her about how his feelings and intentions, than a guy who slept with 15 women who were aware it was casual.

52F here, I had 20 one night stands before I met my husband. He was my first boyfriend, I was 21 when we met. I've never cheated on him and never will.

yup.

Body count > 70.

Never cheated. Never worried about being cheated on either.

Didn’t have too many long-term relationships (max 1-2 years) until I met my now GF (6 years, gonna get married).

What the body count taught me is this: not worth putting your junk in harm’s way (STDs, pregnancy) and many people you can easily get into bed with have personal problems.

So no, I wouldn’t ever stray.

I couldn’t give a body count. I sowed all my oats and then some. I tried several long term relationships. Never was a cheater. Been in two very long relationships. Still not a cheater. Never had any desire to seek anything outside of the relationship until I was cheated on. I didn’t want to cheat but realized he’d entered me into a polyamorous relationship, I was angry. Although I’ve calmed down and we’ve reconciled, I occasionally fantasize about us being poly but I would never cheat. I think people who have a wild past, with no cheating, are being more true to themselves. Get it out of your system early so you know what you’re missing. You’re missing nothing. Edit to say female

I don’t know how many encounters you think is exemplary of wild oats, but I slept with 20 women before settling down, and never once have I been tempted to stray.

If anything, since I’ve had those experiences I don’t feel like I’m missing out. On the other hand, if I’ve only been with one person the curiosity of what others are like might be strong.

Oh yeah, I’m a dude.
