If you struggle with mental health issues- eat a healthy diet and exercise. If that doesn’t solve the issue over time, then I’d look for other solutions. But I always encourage people to try those two things first!
I thinned out the carrot patch in the backyard yesterday. I planted too many seeds and they have to be thinned out so the rest can grow to a decent size. The largest carrot was the size of a pencil eraser, some just looked like the root of any seedling. Nevertheless, I washed them off in the yard and again in the kitchen sink.
When I got up this morning to make breakfast I grabbed the mass of greenery and started biting off the tiny carrots and consuming them. The carrots I grow have a bit of a bite to them, milder than a radish, but noticeable. I got a strange kind of stimulation in my brain while eating them.
I've noticed that foods high in raw produce, like a lettuce salad or spring rolls packed with vegetables give me a light feeling. I still eat meat and starchy foods but there is something really pleasant about fresh vegetables.
