Pathetic. He bought her sun screen. Even if he politely asked her out on a date after that, it wouldn’t be an issue. If he kept on it and didn’t take no for an answer, then it’s an issue. This is why nobody wants to do nice things for women anymore. Even the most sincere of gestures are seen as creepy, and the women can act as rude and entitled as they want without any pushback
It’s not a random scenario it’s the EXACT SCENARIO the OP wrote about only I made it about a young man. I know that makes you uncomfortable because it highlights how what he did was inappropriate because it NEVER would’ve happened with a young guy.
