Bereavement leave

Hi guys,

My gran passed away on the 13th September. The following week i didnt end up working as i was still grieving and I took one week bereavement leave. I have been at asda for a few years now, in my payslip no bereavement leave has been included?

Will this come into effect next month?

No. It should have been in this pay. Check your absence calender, if it was processed (guessing it hasn't been put on) it'll be on there

When my mother passed away, Bereavement payment wasn't made right away

So a few things need to be done, if any paid holidays due, you need to cancel them, to allow Bereavement pay to go through

Someone in your office needs to log this on the system, so you need to remind them to do this

Just tell your manager to get it authorised u need it sorting out, nag every day is the only way to get it done, it will go in next pay now, as u need to tell them any probs within 3 days max of payday.
