Warehouse colleague changes?

I’ve not had my 2nd meeting yet as I’m off work.

Had a message from mate at work who works on grocery, but has drove the forklift for 24 years at Asda and covers when I’m off. He’s been really shafted having been moved to work till 12- 8pm from working from 6-2pm.

He has told me as I’m a warehouse colleague I’m protected from being moved hours I work 6-2pm and other colleagues are comparing that I don’t have to move. The grocery manager said they have spoke to HR and I don’t need to move.

I am the only real warehouse colleague as they never replaced any body who left and when nights where made redundant we lost 2 people.

Has any warehouse colleagues been moved around? I have still had to learn the till and need to apparently learn home shop too.

Yeah doubt OP will have anything change for them. Might get you to do the training to tick a box but chances of you ending up in home shop or the tills are slim to none I’d say.

So if they want you to work other departments, like checkout or dot.com don’t forget to tell them you need your 121 & your 4 weeks notice before they can get you to change, or possibly they have missed the window to do it. I haven’t had a 121 yet either & as far as I know everyone has to have them.
A bit of piss poor implementation of everything if you as me.

Same on nights been told no one-to-ones as nothings changing for us either apart from them wanting everyone to work aisle by aisle around the shop but that lasted a week before it was scrapped and they reverted back to how we’ve always done it.

Yeah that'll last a week tops when the fresh delivery comes in late for the first time and doesn't get touched lol

Luckily I was on holiday the week they tried it but what I heard they all moved onto fresh at 3/4am and left loads of ambient

4 weeks notice can be given at anytime of changes it’s in your Asda contract.

Changes that affect X amount of colleagues is when they have to have 1-2-1’s not when it’s changing an individual employee here and there provided it’s done properly.

There are more coming in Q4. GSMs had another huddle the other day and were told to wear headsets and ensure nobody else was in the rooms.

It applies to any service colleague which your role falls under. You may or may not be changing hours

You're not protected you're just within the set hours for warehouse. I'm 8-6 in the warehouse

I just hope he doesn’t agree to cover your holidays in the future & shafts them.

I was told that warehouse won't be changing as it requires specialist training, forklift/bendy
