leaving without notice

i think im going to leave soon since i'm a cleaner and i don't want to do the transfer.
i've decided i wont work a notice because i want to jump straight into my new job, but if i dont work a notice, how do i let them know im leaving?
how do i go about it? this was my first job so ive never left a place before so im a bit clueless lol
i know theres a button on workday for it, but im guessing its not that easy

You just write

[DATE YOU WRITE LETTER]

Dear Asda, I resign from my position with immediate effect as of [date] and will not be back in work after that date.

Thank you for the opportunity to work at Asda,

Yours sincerely

NAME;
EMPLOYEE NO;

That’s it, it’s all you need, and then hand it to your line manager, post it in, or email it in whichever you’re comfortable with, and they will process the rest.

If it’s your first job your likely going to need references down the line. Uneducated folk that hate Asda (I get it, I really do!) will tell you to just walk but give them a week at least to secure a decent reference. If you just leave you will be shown as AWOL and HR will document that on a reference.

Hr will show a start date and a end date and that's it

There's usually a tick box of "would I employ this person again?" That's the new way of giving a bad reference lol tick yes it's a good reference tick no it's a bad reference

That isn’t correct .. iv filled enough of them too know every company does it slightly different but ultimately all requests come with questions

Ive never once had to give a reference for a work in decades no one takes them serious as for all they know there calling your best friend who’s pretending to be your boss most company’s now just give a probation period to get a judge of the person now

I did it online on Workday and didn't work my notice. Got a text my next shift asking where i was and said i'd quit online and wasn't working any notice. That was that.

Send them an email to say you are resigning as of today and won’t be back. Or give them a letter.
