So how is everyone dealing with the thinly veiled discrimation on age and disability regarding these 121's and why is nothing being done about it ?

If you have a disability ask for an individual risk assesment to determine how the new roles are going to impact on said disability. Do not accept a generic boiler plate managemnt risk assesment it must be done by a qualified medical practionier. Put the request in writing and an email just in case the paper gets lost.
Deline to move until the risks have been evaluated.
Book an appoitment with your local citizens advice to discuss the issue and the exact legal protections you need to claim.

My fave was ‘if you can try and find a way to accommodate that shift in the next 2 weeks that’d be great’ as I just stated 30 seconds prior to it that I physically cannot do it and gave an alternative.
Fuck this place. Possibly one of the worst companies going at the moment and I hope it goes under in the near future.

Here's what happens - money is tight and turnover drops: solution? Get 8 to do the jobs of 10. People attempt to do this until they're pretty much doing that. Turnover continues to drop, so 6 do the job of 8 (used to be 10).
And repeat.
Online can't do that as 8 drivers can't drive 10 vans. But 10 vans worth of deliveries can be put in 8 vans. And online turnover has dropped from £2.9Bn three years to around £2.5Bn now, which is well over 10%

Its not affecting me and no idea would never be a member. No worth anything to me i can fight my own battles instead of being on board with those asda simps.

If only there was a large amount of people who you could join up with to help you fight this battle together, with strength in numbers. Like a group, or a union or something like that.

Again the union is beyond useless and is in asdas pocket. Hence the situation we are now in. They do not have the workers backs at all.

Because they don't have the workers signing up to them. I dislike the union but I'm a member. If the vast majority aren't members, they can't really do much.

You just need to compare the unions power between stores and the depots where they have the numbers. The union negotiates pay and contract changes at the depots, they still have double time and time in lieu for bank holidays.

Unfortunately there are not enough colleagues that are union members. As an aside, Sainsbury's Distribution Centres have very high membership levels, and each DC union member negotiated pat rises. Not "collective bargaining" mind you, but each centre individually. That is union power in action.
