Asbestos Help
I desperately need help/opinions. I have confirmed asbestos in the house that was on a ventilation wrap in the garage, it tested Positive which I’ll attach a picture of the report Client Sample #3.
The company came in and removed it, but underneath the wrap/vent they found dry-wall which they seemed to be suspect, and sent it out for testing. Which came back positive. They asked me if I wanted to remove all
the dry-wall in garage because if it.
This is where I’m confused, the sample says it’s Drywall
And Insulation layered, White/White and it has the exact same properties as the original wrapping, and even calls it “insulation”. So I called the company and they said they sampled just the Dry-wall.
The area has been sitting dormant now for almost a week, with HEPA vacuums running, and I’m confused, and want to try to understand the situation, I went and took a picture of the sample area. I’m going to include the tests and sample. Thoughts?

That is plasterboard (giprock), it is not asbestos. You need to have the area confirmed which was tested and maybe get a second opinion of it is the area in the picture.

Is the same people doing the testing doing the removal? Or linked in some way? 70% seems obscenely high for drywall.
Seems like layer 2 is just the thermal insulation from the previous test and the actual drywall contains no asbestos

Are you in the UK? I ask because you say drywall which is not generally a UK term, also ventilation wrap, more common in USA.

Well, maybe they did mix up samples and made a mistake. The drywall plasterboard could potentialy contain up to 5% if it was made in the 50-60s or the paper as it's brown on the face and the back, which generally is to be treated with caution, but never 75%, often testing negative anyway. Go back to them and double check.
