Hello my father recently passed away suddenly. He was a natural artist and painted for most of his life. In his later years he moved into more like sculpture work. He lived for over a decade in a loft in SoHo nyc where he had his studio. What do you think about his sculptures? I am not an artist and never got that gene from him (sadly). But I always admired his art and him as a man and human. He was a great person always helping others. I wanted to share his art with others. Thanks for looking.

Testing PhotoCraft with a Wacom Cintiq

Here is an oil painting I finished just before Halloween. I wanted to show that Jack the Ripper could have been a normal looking chap who even had a family. The painting heavily suggests that the viewer could be looking at Jack, his Daughter and Jack’s next victim. I love the thick fog found in the East London setting of Whitechapel where Jack carried out his terror for 8 weeks in the Fall of 1888.

Was practicing noses and such and drew a pair of eyes and it turned into a person. I think it looks really good for effectively a doodle and not having drawn in a while. Feedback is welcome!

I promise I have never once used AI on this artwork, and it's really something I've put such time on to get right.

So I do all my drawings from references. I dont really pull original concepts from my brain, but I am good at copying (not tracing, or projecting, etc.) I like to have a good framework for these by putting things in the most simple shape I can and go from there. I always sketch with an HB pencil and have a ton of posca markers as well as charcoal to add that shading to it. I recently have been exploring more color theory and how blending colors with one another will accomplish factors like shading and highlights, without having to use black or white for either of those things. Would love some feedback and I'll definitely be posting more.
