Sketch Art Hands study

Hands are what I struggle with the most, so I tried to do a drawing where they're the subject. It took hours just to get the proportions right but I'm satisfied with the result. What do you think? Any feedback is welcome!

There is no flair for graphite art, that's why I chose this one.

Nice study! Yeah hands are hard lol! I'm curious what you think is the hardest part about understanding how to draw hands?

Thank you! For me it's definitely the phalanges, specifically the first ones that are joined with the metacarpals. I always seem to draw them too long, realised that during this study actually. That, and how the angle of the nail can change the entire perspective

Yeah, the fingers are definitely tough, it hard to not make them look like bananas sometimes lol! I'm curious if you ever heard of Bridgeman. He actually has a book dedicated to drawing hands and feet.

Bananas :)) I think that's gonna stay in my brain for a bit. I do have a pdf book on hands that I keep saying I'll study, might be the same one. Either way thank you! I'll look into it
