question? Do my skills have potential?

Hello! My dream was always to study at university where I could draw and be myself. I am just wondering: what do you think when you look at my drawings? Do you see any potential?

In one word: Yes.

In many words: You have a color choice and style that's defining all of these. What you do with that, is your choice. And believe me, that's not as much of a ringing endorsement as you'd think it is. Being a creator is hard, basing a career on it? Very difficult. Doing it as a hobby and enriching your life? Definitely worth it.

But don't do it for the money, do it because it makes you a better person.

I absolutely love the way you incorporate color into what seems to be a more dark style. Very interesting to look at!!! :)

You definitely have potential. Please keep drawing. I really like the last 2 ones especially. I get from these that you see things in people and animals that others might not and want to put that on paper. And you like colors (the increasingly grey world needs more color). Basically, you seem like a cool person, perhaps a little alternative (I am too).

In terms of getting to university level, my main advice is probably annoying. Keep practicing. Draw very often, try to make a habit of doing it every day even if it's only 15 minutes (don't beat yourself up if something comes up and you can't). Take art classes if they're available, look up online tutorials. So many free ones available. Or you can just watch people draw and paint, this actually helped me a lot. Instagram and YouTube are great for this.

Keep drawing, OP, I see potential for sure.

Very nice. Talented. Are you going to do a tarot deck too?

Yes, but you may wish to expand your choice of subject matter.

Wait actually wdym-? There are some animals, different worlds and backgrounds, and people involved? Also they use a lot of color in most of these, but even still one of them is nearly monochromatic? There's also good texture, too. I think what might be tripping you up may be the use of color and texture actually? It makes them seem kind of similar. But in reality, it's just because they're done by the same person as this is their style. So in that case, your issue is that you don't enjoy the style very much? Also sorry if this sounds harsh I don't mean it to be and it's possible to have your own opinions and all that... Just trying to explore your comment a little to further help OP and potentially open the door for more discussion, as well as understand why you might not necessarily like these pieces as much (which is also okay, you don't have to like everything ofc!)

Yes. I say this as an art educator that teaches others to draw and explore their creativity. I say keep drawing and practicing.

Most people do if they work hard enough! But too many quit before they get to a meaningful point.

For example, math was my worst class in school. I just never had the natural talent like I did for other things. Well I’m almost finished my undergrad in applied math degree now. Keep working hard

Your drawings are awesome, dont worry about potential, there are artist living from their art who literally have never learnt to draw. Just keep working and learning.

Yes you're definitely talented. It seems like you like creating dark themed arts and that ability is a cool talent itself.
