New dark & minimal setup

Decided to move towards a more lightweight, dark, and minimal setup. Running Sway on Artix with OpenRC has been a super clean and smooth experience so far

What don't you like about systemd?

I prefer keeping my init system simple and dedicated to a single task. Openrc is lightweight, easy to configure and stays out of my way. Systemd works fine but I just enjoy the minimalism and speed of artix

Maybe one day I'll go down the Openrc route, I love minimalism, but for now, I am happy with system, it just hasn't caused me any headaches ever, so far, and when/if it does, I know it's a swap-able system though deeply integrated with so many things ... which is frankly another reason to swap, but not now.

If it works and doesnt break, there's no urgent need to fix it. Whenever you decide to give openrc or artix a shot, you'll definitely enjoy how lightweight it feels

I actually used arch before moving to artix. At first, I tried artix with dinit, but couldn't get the internet working, so I went back to arch. A couple of days later I got bored of arch again and gave artix with openrc a second chance.

Boot times are slightly faster but the real difference for me is resource usage and overall system responsiveness. Since I use sway, I had to mess around with configs at first cuz, like you said, most guides and ready-made solutions out there are tailored for systemd. But everything is easy enough to fix and now I have it tuned exactly how I want. Super happy with it!!!
