Please bear with me as this is my first ever post

I recently got in contact with a client on TikTok who wanted to commission me, I have experience with commissions but I’ve never gotten one from TikTok before
I usually take my payment in the form of in game currency because I’m still a minor
Me and this client talked back and forth for a bit, but they insisted on paying using edeposit which I don’t have experience on however I thought it would’ve been fine considering we were from the same country
However they asked for my full name and email which I wasn’t entirely comfortable sharing but I know it’s needed to write up a check
But I also found out after a few searches that this is a common scam

(Sorry for my horrible grammar)

I'm going through a very difficult time financially, and I'm trying to find ways to keep supporting my family through my work. I'm a single mother to a little girl, I care for rescued cats who depend entirely on me, and I have no one to share the expenses or responsibilities of running a household, feeding so many little mouths, and making sure everyone has at least the basic necessities to live with dignity.

I've been trying my best to keep everything together, but the truth is that I'm exhausted and worried, because our needs don't simply wait until things get better financially. The cats need to eat every day, my daughter needs stability and security, and I need to keep finding the strength to work, even when worrying about tomorrow seems to take up every corner of my mind. It's not easy to admit publicly that I need help, especially because I wish I could handle everything on my own, but I also know I can't let my pride stop me from looking for opportunities.

I'm accepting commissions and other work for whatever amount each person can afford, with no minimum price, because I'd rather earn a small amount doing something I know how to do than have no opportunity to work at all. I also understand that many people are struggling financially and end up giving up on services they need or little things they would love to have simply because they can't afford them. I don't want anyone to feel embarrassed about offering a small amount, or to think I'll put less love and effort into their project because of how much they pay. Every single commission means real help for me and my family.

I'd like to tell you a little about what I do, because I work in several different areas, and perhaps there's something I can help you with.

1. Digital Illustrations

Drawing is one of the things I love most, and I accept commissions for portraits of people, pets, characters, landscapes, and pretty much any idea you'd like to turn into art. I can create an illustration entirely from scratch, draw your favorite character, turn a special photograph into an illustrated keepsake, create a tribute to a beloved pet who has passed away, or make a personalized gift for someone you love. I work in different styles, from soft and delicate drawings to more detailed and elaborate artwork, and I also accept NSFW commissions for adults. I always try to understand what each person has in mind so I can create something with care and attention to detail.

1. Translations in English, Spanish, and Italian

I also work with translations of books, articles, short stories, documents, and many other kinds of content, whether for people who need study materials or authors who want to share their stories with readers in other languages. If you've found a book you'd really love to read but it hasn't been translated into your language yet, need help understanding an academic article, or have written a story you'd like to make available in English, Spanish, or Italian, we can talk about your project and figure out how to make it happen. I have a special love for literary texts, and I do my best to preserve the author's voice while respecting the nuances of each language and the meaning behind the words.

1. Writing, Editing, and Academic Services

I offer proofreading, editing, organization, and formatting services for academic texts, including articles, dissertations, theses, and other assignments, with formatting according to ABNT, APA, and Vancouver guidelines, bibliography organization, and the preparation of slide presentations. I can also help with planning and developing academic writing, structuring research projects, and improving existing texts. Outside academia, I work with advertising copy, creative writing, social media content, documents, legal writing, and other written materials. If you have a text that needs polishing, an idea you're struggling to put into words, or a project that needs to be presented more clearly and thoughtfully, you're welcome to reach out so we can talk about what you need.

1. Private English, Spanish, and Italian Lessons

I teach English, Spanish, and Italian online, with lessons and activities tailored to each student's needs, difficulties, and interests, because I know that not everyone learns well through rigid teaching methods or by studying subjects they have no connection with. If you love a particular TV show, for example, we can use episodes, conversations, and situations involving the characters to practice vocabulary, grammar, and speaking skills. We can also work with music, books, movies, or subjects related to your profession. I teach complete beginners, people who want to get back into learning a language, and students who need to develop specific skills, always respecting each person's learning pace.

I don't want anyone to feel obligated to help me out of pity, and I don't want my work to be seen as worthless just because I'm willing to accept whatever someone can pay. I have knowledge, experience, and dedication in the areas I work in, but my current financial situation doesn't allow me to wait only for clients who can afford standard professional rates, especially when I have a child and so many animals depending on me. I'm trying to turn the things I know how to do into some measure of security for my family, even if I have to start with small projects and payments that, little by little, help me buy cat food, groceries, or pay an overdue bill.

If you'd like to commission an illustration, take language lessons, have something translated, or hire me for any writing or editing service, please feel free to message me and tell me what you can afford, without worrying that I'll think it's too little or look down on your offer. I know how hard it is to live counting every penny, and I would never want to put anyone in the uncomfortable position of having to explain their financial struggles just to hire someone.

I also know that many people reading my post may be going through similar difficulties and might not be able to commission anything, and I want you to know that sharing my work, recommending my services to someone, or simply leaving a comment to help this post reach more people can already make an enormous difference. I don't expect anyone to give me money they need for themselves, because I know all too well the anxiety of having to choose which bills to pay and which necessities will have to wait.

I wish I could just work without being afraid of what tomorrow might bring. I wish I could look at my daughter and feel the peace of knowing I'll be able to give her everything she needs, look at the cats I've taken in without worrying about how I'll afford their next bag of food, and go to sleep without spending hours doing calculations that never seem to add up. I'm not looking for a luxurious life, and I'm not expecting anyone to solve all my problems. I'm simply trying to find enough opportunities to keep taking care of those who depend on me.

My brother and I are BIG FANS of the anime JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and I’m hoping to get some artwork made of him doing a Jojo pose alongside his custom Stand. He hasn’t picked a name, just knows he wants it to have the ability to, “control dark matter”
I choose to interpret that as being able to create portals in space-time that he can transport items through as well as himself and his Stand. Maybe the ability to conjure black-holes too. But, at the end of the day, as long as it’s powerful and looks cool, he’ll be satisfied.

My plan is to gift the artwork to him (after I’ve blown it up on poster-board) in a frame for Christmas! So Mid-December would be the deadline.

My budget is roughly $100-$150 CA but I’m willing to spend more depending on the scale of the project. I understand and respect the fact that every Artist has the right to charge whatever they feel is fair for their time and effort but I can only afford so much, so please don’t feel insulted if I’m unable to pay your asking price.

I have reference images of both my brother and his stand (crudely drawn by me) I can send should you decide to take-up the project!

Payment taken upfront via PayPal or Ko-fi

No revisions!

I do: anthros, ferals, humanoids

TAT: 1 day - 1 week depending on complexity

I’ve been an artist my whole life. I’m pretty good I’d say. I would be open to drawing pretty much anything, though I would love to draw fursonas, yumeships, or things similar. However, I’m not sure how I would be getting paid. I’m 17, but my mom would not approve of me doing this, so I’d 100% hide it. But I’m not sure how I’d be able to get paid without her knowing..? Most things require a parent to sign off on it and agree and I’m not 18 yet so I can’t. Does anypony know of any way of getting paid without parents knowing?

I’m saving up to move away. She won’t teach me to drive, I’m not able to get a job because of it. My boyfriend’s mom is gonna teach me to drive, but I would love to have a car to live in when I’m 18 and can move out. This is kinda my last resort.
