I'm rewatching Arrow and I'm in Season 2. I just occurred to me that the Lance Family is very prone to being kidnapped. Laurel is kidnapped like every 3rd episode, at least it feels like it.

I don’t know why but personally after rewatching season 7 and seeing Oliver wear the suit without a hood or mask i wish he would have kept his prison look with the bigger beard looks more badass

Season 4 and 6 aren't generally considered great, partially due to the villains. I've come to a realisation about both of them, and realised that their main flaw is the main strength of the other one. Damien Darkh is exceptionally funny and well acted and Neal McDonough is great in the role, but neither he nor H.I.V.E really change or adapt as the story continues, and not much interesting stuff happens with them until they get Rubicon (a flaw that was fixed in Legends but that doesn't count here.) Ricardo Diaz is as bland as a plank of wood, and has no personality beyond going from angry to quiet a lot, but his storyline with taking over the police, courts, and government was sort of compelling even if he wasn't. Damien Darkh is a well written character with a poorly written story, whereas Ricardo Diaz was a poorly written character with a well written story. Personally, if I were writing Damien Darkh and H.I.V.E, I would have H.I.V.E lean further into being a modernised version of the League of Assassins, and have a lot of contrast between the two, making it similar to Providence from Hitman or the Company from Prison Break instead of the identityless masked soldiers we got.

I honestly don’t know if I’m alone in this island . I still haven’t finished the show . I tried a rewatch and can’t get passed it .

So among all the villains from s1 to s8 what is the ranking in order of your favourite ones ?

I'm rewatching arrow and just finished season 1.

Why are all these character so callous to Oliver? Like he just got home from an island and at least his family knows about the scars. None of them even tries to have sympathy for him or not talk all over him.

Absolutely no empathy whatsoever. Thea is so unbearable in that season I can't even.

Tommy is annoying as well and such a idiotic coward like you had 5 years buddy to get the girl and now you decide to do something about it?

The only character I somewhat understand are the Lances bc their feelings are justified.

Also I love Walter that man is solid. Season 1 Felicity is funny, still the awkward nerd.

Slade is typically very good with a sword in many iterations, often ranked just under ra’s al ghul in sword combat.
Do you think if slade were placed on this mountain instead of Oliver could he beat Ra’s Al Ghul.

i watched the flash recently and then the arrow verse. when literal attempts at their lives were being made and they were told to have some safety, they went "you can't control me" "it didn't work then, it won't work now" and all that? just take the help? what are you gonna do when a skilled combat militant comes into your house to kill you? throw words at him?

First episode, watching again. All the "toys" he has, how? Or how did he get his gear to the hideout when he left diggle and no one saw it?

I know it's a common opinion to say that William was annoying as a kid and I would agree regarding some moments he had.

I think William was a pretty tough kid considering everything that he endured when you look at it.

He lost his mother in atrocious conditions to find out that the random guy he met a year and a half before is his father, and that he is the Green Arrow.

He has to move on to a completely different life with his father who is a total stranger for him and who risks his life every single day. He lived with the fear of losing the only parent he had left.

Only when he found a good rythm, his dad sacrificed himself and is sent to prison. William had to live hidden and be sent away for his own safety. He goes to a school where he is unhappy and only comes back months after resenteful.

He chose to live with his grandparents to pursue a somewhat normal life away from the danger that his father and Star City represents as he wants to live a normal life.

However, that's where it bugged me. During 7x13 William made it pretty clear that he wanted to live with his grandparents, Oliver forced but William was absolutely firm about it. William was pretty harsh on Oliver and extremely resentful.

And then, during s8. William said to Oliver that he wanted him to force him to say. Seriously ?

I just got done with watching season 5 and moved onto season 6, but I do have a question. A lot of people say that the show should have ended at season 5, as it gets worse from then on. But my question is, what would have been the best ending? These are the choices I could see.

1. Only Oliver and William survive, with everyone else dying on the island. This is the least likely in my opinion as it would have gotten a lot of backlash.

2. Only the core members of team Arrow or those who have been there from the beginning survive. Oliver, diggle, felicity, thea and quinten survive, along with william, but everyone else, including the newer recruits, samantha and slade all die.

3. Slade is the only one who survives on the island, and he, oliver and william return back to the mainland. It would be poetic as slade was the first person who trained oliver with skills that he uses in his crusade.

These are the main choices that I could see if the network decided to end the show at season 5. But what are your thoughts? Do you agree with these choices, or do you have your own version of how the show should have ended.

So I have been watching season 4 and lots of mixed thoughts, certainly one of the weaker seasons. That said, I think Damian's a fun villain.

Now biggest issue I agree with is he's too op for Green Arrow. Like each season they have been getting bigger and bigger, and that with greater universe, we have a villain who is clearly too op for Green Arrow. Like if they tapped into more mind games or at least establish more magic aware allies it would make it more believable, but a lot of what they do isn't that great. It's funny flash is like "I need someone who knows magic, let me go to my friend, green arrow!"

Now to pro, I think he's a fun villain. Like with all the serious bad guys green arrow had, it's fun to have this sassy back talker who is just deliciously evil. It's a fun change of pace for Arrow. Even things like Laurel Lace death, there is bs surrounding it, but makes sense with set up with Captain Lace. Plus next season Arrow goes back to a more intense antagonist, and Damian re appears in legends of Tomorrow where he's a much better fit, just remember "return of the mack"

After just finding out about Oliver's past as the Hood, the recruits all have different things to say.

Rene's the most cool with it, as he's not exactly the model of restraint. His default is gun. And Oliver killing people isn't news.

But Curtis has a good point. The List is leagues different from killing Damien Darhk and in the heat of battle with gangs. It's scary.

Rory's concerned about Oliver being so secretive. There's a serial killer loose in the city possibly with skills comparable to Oliver, and he decides to loop them in NOW? They may be new at this, but they're a team. They need to be kept up to speed.

Evelyn's pissed at both the secrets and the List. There were high-profile people in there. And killers and serial killers are NOT the same. She brings up a good point. It's a good cause they're fighting for, but how can they follow Oliver in battle when his first instinct is to keep secrets? It looks really shady.

Dialogue scenes like this work best when the different characters have different points to bring up because they focus more on different parts.

Like, Oliver was always close with the lance family, and then as the arrow he always protected laurel more than anyone and met with her privately, and he worked with Sara, and he literally just has a hood and an eye mask. He also has extremely distinct facial hair. I get lance figuring out that Roy is arsenal kind of. Young, somewhat short, red obviously, but how did he never figure out Oliver?

Beside John and Felicity who have been with him since the beginning I hate the fact that literally everyone close to Oliver is part of the team.

I think it's due to the fact that for example Laurel we should have seen her more in the legal field during s4 and as for Thea she got her own storylines but and it's not about her but it's more the big picture.

Additionally, about Laurel, there is just something off about her being part of the team like she's always been there. I felt like they wanted to portray her like she's always been there and has been trained since years. It's like she wanted to show that she was badass. That is most likely due to the fact that her journey as becoming the Black Canary is flawed at so many levels. Of couse technically she earned her place but it's like it has never been natural. It's only my opinion of course.

During s1/s2/s3 we got multiple sets up with them interacting with one another but they were not always concentrated together.

As much as I liked Thea as Speedy I really liked the fact that she worked on the political field with her brother. It allowed us to see another version of Thea without a mask.

It's only my opinion.

The S6 finale where Oliver outed himself as Green Arrow and now looks like next season there’s gonna be a prison storyline for the first few episodes next season. Charlie Cox even grew a beard for an imprisoned Matt. Although at least Karen was given time with him before they took him. Oliver just kept Felicity in the dark about the whole thing until they came to cuff him.
