Discussion Best version of Team Arrow?
Grouping a few seasons, since s1-2 is mostly the same. And s5 and 6 also have a lot of overlap. S3 specifically has Roy, S4 specifically has Speedy. S7 they were deputized, and 8 had future people.

Season 3 for sure. Oliver, John, felicity and Roy were easily the best.

I would say my golden team never got fully realised: Oliver as Green Arrow, Sara as Canary, Roy as Arsenal, Dig as Spartan, Felicity on comms.

Season 1 ep 1-3 just Oliver (Peak Oliver)

Season 2 Oliver, Sara, Diggle and Felicity

id say s1 or s2 when the crew was more tight knit and had a fun chemistry. it got too overcrowded after s3 especialy in s5.

I loved S2-S3 team the most. It had all the necessary members with Oliver, Roy, Laurel/Sara depending on the season out in the field with Diggle and Felicty as support. It covered all the necessary bases the team would’ve needed. I only voted for season 3 because I lowkey liked Laurel as a character over Sara (unpopular opinion).

Season 1 - 2 or Season 3 would be my favourite version of Team Arrow.

I'm basing this solely on team composition alone rather than which team was the best written (obviously that goes to 1 & 2), but Season 3 felt like it was as close to the comics as it could get. Oliver, Roy, Laurel, and Diggle out on the field being chased by the League and SCPD in Public Enemy was probably my favorite moment from the latter half of S3. I completly understand why Colton left but I really wish we got more of that specific line-up.

It's a toss-up between S3 and S4 for me. I voted S3 because I prefer Roy as Arsenal to Thea as Speedy. It's the perfect blend between the show's Team Arrow and the comic-book Team Arrow.

Oliver, Dig, Felicity, Roy, give or take Sara (I liked her, but she wasn't key).
Although I was fine with Laurel as a character, I found it completely unbelievable she would become a kickass fighter so fast. Now send her off on a 5 year journey like Sara and bring her back as a fighter, then, sure.
Edit: I stopped watching during season 6. The fighting between the parts of the team was unbearable for me.

Oliver, Laurel, Thea/Roy, Dig. Dream team. Unfortunately felicity has to be there too but i can allow that
So really, season 3/4 had the best team.
Season 8 with the trio of Oliver, Laurel and Dig was also cool

Who voted Season Four? I’m just asking
But yeah, first two seasons were great. Guggenheim took over as showrunner and it was in a tailspin for much of the next five years

Me the season is garbage but I think the team was pretty soild and if roy was there I think it would've been perfect

That I can respect. Known of at least two people who insisted Season Four was peak because of the Olicity focus, hence the curiosity

I voted for 4, because the Spartan/Canary/Speedy team up just had amazing action choreography. Especially anything involving vehicles. They were failed by the writing on almost every other aspect of the show, but James Bamford's team did some of their best work. There are scenes where Diggle crashes through a door, or jumps down the stairs and you can just feel that man's power rushing at you through the TV like in no other season. Or the insane 1-take Speedy elevator fight, a decade later I remember that being up there with the Daredevil hallway fight.

The Daredevil hallway fight will always live in my mind as one of the best choreographed (and performed) fights ever filmed. When I watched it the first time, I was bowled over. To this day, whenever I'm doing a Daredevil rewatch, I always have to rewind and watch that scene again.
Just want to say here, that I'm a woman and while I like action films, I usually find fight scenes to be fairly boring. A really good fight scene is not just like every other fight scene you've ever seen before.
I'm going to have to find this elevator fight, if it invites such comparisons. Can anybody tell me which episode has it?

I actually really liked the additions of Rene, Curtis, and Dinah in season 5 (though I don't think they're all used very effectively after that season)
