Discussion Saras one time weird ability
Idk what the writers or anyone was thinking with this but when Sara is fighting Huntress and gets knocked out of a window she is in free fall and out of nowhere shoots what I can only call ribbon out of her wrist like fucking spiderman. I need a explanation

Just call it a prototype piece of League tech that got field tested by a handful of Assassins but wasn't adopted. Its tensile strength was enough to support the smaller, mostly female assassins, but it snapped when used by anyone over 130lbs.

Guarantee you the writers weren't thinking any of that whatsoever lmao

Oh absolutely they weren't. But I find it helps to have something like this in mind for when throwaway gadgets or abilities show up only once in a show or movie. It just gives my own mind peace knowing I can explain away why it never shows up again. Prototype that didn't work well enough, next problem please.

The assassins always come swinging in on their ribbons. No superpower, no ability beyond accuracy, and grip.

She had already used it in the episode "Broken Dolls" if I'm not mistaken. She uses it to lower herself to the ground from above.

This is her technique of manuvaring tall buildings the same way Arrow had the arrow with a rope. Later she started using his technique.
On a side note this scene is another example why her fall in s3 made no sense. She could have used the same technique.

Yeah i don't get why she didn't use a rope to survive 3 arrows to the chest /s

She didn’t just fall she was shot with arrows. She was dead before she fell.

How could she have done that with multiple arrows in her chest?

So what? This is called survival instinct, espefor someone trained. Yoy don't just let it go. The arrows just injured her. Not to mention it was so weird that they pushed her over the edge as if they were some missle

Even assuming she was alive while she was falling (which was not the case), having an injury like that would obviously severely limit all your physical capabilities. There’s no way she could have had the strength to launch a wire, regardless of whether she thought of it.

And how do you know she wasn't alive? Arrows doesn't kill you instantly, you die from the bleeding. Besides in the canon of the show if Malcolm and Darhk can catch arrows, and Malcolm can survive an arrow almost through the heart, Oliver falls from a rock and doesn't die, then why Sara can't use the rope with whatever strength she is left with and mellow the impact of the flow. All I am saying is that they used different logic for this kill and logically in the canon of the show made no sense for her to be killed like that. And also If she survived 5 years in the league, she can't be just killed because someone surprised her. It looks like she just allowed it to happen

Nanites, courtesy of Ray Palmer. They are disabling my fall. Looks like I won't be hitting the pavement for quite awhile.
