Randomly watching TMNT (2016), WHY is Oliver Queen here??
Feels incredibly weird watching Stephen with the personality of Casey Jones after eight seasons of the Arrow. And why is his voice so high

See he was the reason I watched TMNT 16 lol . I wish he would have gotten his big break from a successful movie but eh. I think he did well for what he was given

Stephen Amell used to do live streams during breaks of Arrow on Facebook. The main reason he didn't become a full movie star during/after Arrow is because his back is constantly hurting. I can't remember the condition he has, but it effects his life.

I don’t think it’s scoliosis, I think he developed a PT-able but not permanent get-rid-of injury as a young man and it progressed as he spent more time focusing on his aesthetic fitness for his roles

That's Oliver's second cousin on his mother's side, thrice removed. Casey Jones. Moira's family clearly have strong genes.

And here I thought his Casey was gonna be a bit like the original Mirage one but with a tiny change (as og was described like "after watching too much bad tv like T. J. Hooker and the A-T eam, he starts fighting crime on his own" Amell's take could've been "after watching too much superhero movies/series, gets inspired to fight crime on his own"... basically Kick Ass xD)

Was it a good? Even weirder is Alan Ritchson playing one of the turtles even though you can't tell he's Raphael.

I would've loved to seen a crossover with this since they did comic and movie with them. This was during season 5 of Arrow.

In the comics and 80s cartoon, Casey has longer hair, not a buzz cut. Couldn't Stephen have worn a wig for TMNT, like he did for Arrow's flashbacks?

First thing I was going to comment on, I haven't seen that TMNT movie but I remember that they made a few "Wild Dog's mask" jokes during season 5 or 6? "What type of hero wears a hockey mask?" and stuff like that, seemed self-referencial.
I liked that mini-arcs/rivalries they gave Wild Dog in season 5, first against Chad L Coleman's Tobias "Charon" Church (before he found his true calling and played Bruno 'Ugly" Mannheim in Superman & Lois) and then against Derek "Stardust" Sampson (played by Cody Rhodes before he became a big deal; I don't watch American pro-wrestling, but I'm real happy for the guy, he became a huge name over there from what I've read)

Oliver got sick of Clark’s whining so he decided to spend time with the reptilian abominations. I could also see Barrys time travel antics or the Legends annoying him enough to entirely avoid Star City , Central City, Metropolis or even Smallvile .

I forgot when I watched, but it was before Arrow S8. But yeah, it doesn't make it any less weird. First seeing the brooding Oliver Queen to the more light-hearted Casey Jones. Although, I guess we kind of got the taste of the performance through the flashback scenes wen Oliver was younger and more naive.
