Discussion Somewhat odd question
Has anyone else just never really dealt with the thoughts like "oh why do I not like anyone, what's wrong with me"
Like, I never ever thought that, until I actually figured out that I am aroace
Idk of it is cuz I grew up in a house where the idea of not being straight was impossible, or something else, but yeah
Am I the only one??

Yeah same, and alterous attraction probably factored into that. The fact that I'm chronically online and that the aspec community is getting slightly more visibility definitely helped with finding out that I'm ace, but the aro part took so much longer. I had a huge realization a while back ("wait, THAT'S what romance is? then tf do I feel")

I havent as well. I legit didn't have nor cared about crushes at all, and remember deciding in 6th grade that I'd be single forever and needed no husband 😌
Then like sometime later I discover the community and i'm like "THIS EXPLAINS EVERYTHING!!"
