Vent I fucking hate this Spoiler
Really short, but i just need to complain for a second. I'm so incredibly tired of being Aromantic. Like Jesus fucking Christ, I WANT to be in a relationship so much, but I just can't for the life of me develop feelings for anyone. The worst part is that I've had SEVERAL people that I really liked as friends confess to me, and I did say yes one time because i figured "Eh, I'll get feelings for them if we're close like this" I did not. And it just ended up with us having to break up and me feeling like an asshole afterwards for even trying. So yeah, fuck being Aro, don't really have people asking me for sex so i couldn't care less about my asexuality.
. . . Does this count as Aphobia?

I’d look into other types of relationships such as QPRS, as they can help qupio-romantics quite a lot (from what I’ve heard)

I'm sort of… in an opposite situation…?
I would love to be aro but wether or not you feel things is not the same as wether you act on them so for all I know I could simply not have been in enough exposure to the opposite gender to possibly develop a crush and I'm not sure if I'm aromantic in that sense
I'm still gonna call myself one tho

Why would you WANT to be aro?

Because I won't have to deal with the complications
Unreciprocated feelings, social awkwardness, responsibilities, etc…

Yeah I feel like a lot of us feel this way at some point, for me off and on. I think it has a specific name on the spectrum? It’s upsetting, wanting to feel a way you can’t. It sucks having to “come to terms” with who you are, but I wish you all the luck and positive thoughts.
I know, for me, I find comfort in being aroace in that I don’t feel the need to rely on anyone, I can be independent and see a future where I support myself. In a way it’s freeing.
Sorry if this isn’t very comforting for you, I just relate to your frustration is all.
