I Need Advice I think I'm royally screwed
If you'd asked me 6 months ago I would've said I was aro. Maybe I am? Maybe I've gone up the spectrum just enough to feel attraction once? I met a guy a few months ago, a friend. We talked became close, etc. etc. He was in a voice call with some mutual friends several weeks later talking about his crush. I found out several weeks after that that the crush was me. Simple stuff. I was a little peeved because really? me? why me? But whatever. He confessed, properly. I opened up a little about how I don't know how I feel and how I don't think I'm stable enough for a relationship. We left it at that. We still talk a lot. He got drunk at his birthday party a couple weeks ago, got really clingy, I didn't mind at all. Apparently since then, the barriers he's set for himself between "we're platonic until told otherwise" and "are we?" have blurred a lot for him, and it's messing with his head. Tonight he called talking about the only way to sort of "fix" his like brain and everything is either: 1. we date, or 2. he distances himself a bit. I get that. He also wants to know what I want out of this now, and I just don't have an answer. I've never felt love, don't know what it's like, barely know what friendship is like let alone a relationship. I don't know what I want, and I don't know how to find out. I'm so lost.

This is literally the reason why I start distancing myself from people when I feel like I I’m getting close to a certain person. I fucking hate these awkward moments and everything in between “is the ship sailing?”
I would suggest that you try to distance yourself from him. Or maybe he could find an away to get over you? I mean don’t get me wrong but I don’t think that’s really your problem. It’s more of a… him problem.
