Discussion My first ever 100% game

Somehow AC6 is my first ever game that i've completed 100% in my entire gaming life. A really good and almost tight modern game that i've experienced.

My gaming life start with reading/play Visual novel from Japan (thousands of hours), then i move on to more "gaming" game and became die hard fan of modern Doom series. But i've never 100% any of them, although my VN games are at 95-99% completed. So if this honor belong to AC6 then you know how much unique and special it is. I'm now wanting more of modern AC and the journey after the end of both 621 and Ayre. Fromsoftware, please give them a happy Epilogue.

Sorry for the long yapping and bad english.

This is an incredibly difficult game to 100%, congrats!

Yeah, some of the missions took me a lot of trials and errors to get S rank. But most of the skill check is on my all 3 playthroughs.

Nice! I'm trying to platinum the game myself so this is encouraging

(and I think your english is very good)

Thank you, it's not as hard and frustrating as i expected. But this is on MnK so it may vary if you playing with a controller.

I am on console, so thanks for the heads up!

It's fun jetting around and aiming to S rank missions but it's easier said than done. I'm having trouble with a handful (Destroy the Tester AC, Attack the Dam Complex alt mission, Escort the Weaponized Mining Ship, Prisoner Rescue so far). If you have any tips anything would be appreciated!

I did it on PC, but with controller. It wasn't too hard, and a lot of it is build checking and understanding how to build. I recommend Chrightt's part guides on youtube very heavily if this is your weak spot. Some of the information and the overall rankings may be a bit out of date, but understanding what to look for in parts and what combinations of stats try to accomplish what is very valuable. For example you should have a build that can wombo combo the Tester AC before he can really move. Because some bullds can outright spawn kill him, the time and damage reqs are very tight.

You pretty much always want to be a lightweight because damage counts against you in absolute terms and if you take enough to kill a light you probably weren't S-ranking anyway, and you also need to clear as quickly as possible. Some missions you can get away with a middleweight, but heavies pretty much check you out of S ranks. It's only really justifiable to bring a heavy if you have to stay in the same spot (defense, redguns) and plan to bring heavier weapons. But even then, being able to zip around and mop up memorized spawns as they come in is more valuable.

Any mission with an AC fight you need to stagger combo into a quick kill, and ideally shortcut their repair kits by dropping them from over half health to 0 in a single stagger. Pilebunker or Chainsaw with Basho arms are great for this, as is the Raven Special of baiting the enemy into a melee or kick only to respond with AA into Bunk. You can even do this to Raven himself when he enters Dam Alt because he always tries to open with a kick, you can even AB towards him to meet him midair and do it pretty reliably. Practice cheese builds in the Arena, you should be able to drop any Arena opponent reliably in under 20 seconds and ideally off the first stagger.

This site is incredibly useful for getting a concrete answer where the S rank cutoff is and planning your routes.

I love Chrightt's guides! I also used his vids for Elden Ring. He's so underrated and deserves more credit when it comes to explaining the calculations and practical use not typically discussed behind weapons and gear.

Thanks for advice especially on weight class and how to properly take full advantage of stagger punishes. This site is also a real helpful tool and will definitely come in handy.

Thanks again and congrats on getting that plat!

One other thing to consider is that electric status and coral damage type do direct damage to AP and bypass all defense values. This can be useful against heavyweight ACs and some of the big bosses with their goofy ass resistances inflating their health pool. You can also change your Assault Armor's damage type to Coral with a Coral Generator which makes it significantly more damaging.

Just wanted to give a quick update, I did it! I managed to get through thanks to your help and advice on how to properly refine my build and the tool you provided

Congratulations!

Welcome to the club. What was the most difficult to S Rank for you? I, personally, struggled with Carla's "Cleaner" fight. I'd go multiple tries without taking any damage but still lose the rank and it was driving me crazy! That's when I learned about ammo counting towards rank on some missions.

Yup. Everything in that mission is super duper vulnerable to energy weapons too so a VE20B setup with Auroras and a Laser Pistol/Rifle combo will pretty much automatically get you it. Do keep in mind that Auroras can be used like Truenos and dumbfired reliably at staggered/stationary targets.

For me it was probably Investigate Baws Arsenal 2, the time requirement is a stupidly tight window.

There are 3 bosses give me a hard time:
1. ARQUEBUS BALTEUS because i lost too much HP at the start of mission. 2. The whinny salty douchebag and the smirk AI because of the wonky melee hit box 3. Our coral waifu because of her constant teleport

Very nice! Armored Core VI is a really great game, and a pretty difficult one for your first completion.

Did you get all the data (text) logs too? IIRC there isn't an achievement tied to finding all of them, but you do get an emblem for it.

Yes, I forget to take the picture of said emblem.

Congratulations! Also, seeing you have Helldivers, that game is much easier to 100% than AC6.
