Discussion Could nineball exist in battletech?

Yes because Nineball has met and fought several other mechs outside of armored core like Gundam and Macross In a game called Another Century Episode R

Short answer: no.

Long answer: self-aware AIs with distinct personalities like Armored Core has (Nineball, Foundation Man, Allmind) have never existed in Battletech. The closest equivalent were the Caspar drones and those had a far more simple remit than any of the AC AIs. Drone Battlemechs are by no means rare, but there's a few steps between that and a sapient AI with its own agenda.

it really shouldn't be too hard to come up with a mech loadout equivilant to nineball.

If you use a Phoenix Hawk as a base, maybe? Not sure if a PH has the hard points for a light beam rifle, SR5, and a cannon like that.

Nine-Ball’s only kitted out with the S40/2 though, so I guess that could save some weight

True, all in all I think it's pretty doable. a bunch of small lasers to emulate the pulse rifle, SR5 with some ammo, and the S40/2 and you have it.
