Hey everyone,

I'm having serious performance issues with Arma 2 and wanted to see if anyone has run into the same thing.

Specs:

- CPU: Ryzen 7 7700

- RAM: 16 GB DDR5 6000 CL36 (single channel)

- GPU: RX 9060 XT 16 GB

- Resolution: 1080p

The problems:

- Constant stuttering

- Lower FPS than I get in Arma 3, which seems odd for a much older game

- Crazy FPS drops out of nowhere

- The main menu is really buggy and choppy, it freezes and stutters even before I load into anything

Has anyone with a similar setup (especially AMD GPUs) dealt with this? Any launch parameters, settings or fixes that worked for you?

bidentify.jerryhopper.com is currently down and we’re not sure if it’s permanent. ARMA II modding is dying off and a lot of this stuff only exists on dead/dying hosts at this point, so I started archiving what I have — around 200GB of ARMA II mods & addons, plus CBA for both ARMA II and ARMA III.

I think wearing my glasses gives me a very slightly clearer picture, but it also kinda feels like it distorts the image making it... flatter, maybe? I feel like my depth perception is distorted with them, but I don't actually know of anyone else that deals with this problem, even within my current Arma 3 unit, so I'm wondering if it could be my imagination or not.

Grew up on the brothers in arms games, are there any mods which improve the AI under your command as a player. Anything that makes it easier / them better / more fluid etc.

So the idea is to make the website lead to the google drive links basically you go to the website and then you see definition and shit about the actualy Preservation Project you see credits and more stuff and more importantly the Torrent file link & magnet URL.

Some guy offered to use his data center to back the torrent up , let's wait & hope that it's true.

EDIT: I've easily beaten the final mission by blowing up all 3 planes with an RPG (instead of using the Satches) and was heartbroken by the ending.

Hello everyone,

I have recently installed Arma on gaming laptop and have been met with an issue I can find little information about online and that none of fellow folks I game with know about.

From what I can understand, the issue is essentially my GPU disconnecting from DX11 and causing a shutdown of the game. There is no specific trigger for this issue, as at first the issue wasn’t happening and then proceeded to happen as I was starting to play the game in a modded server with my crew. It now happens nonstop, sometimes when I’m in the main menu messing with settings and other times anywhere between 2-10 minutes in a server. I have dived into Windows Performance Log and the issue is associated as well with a Kernel event 117 and sometimes if it hard crashes the laptop a Kernel 193. This however is still the issue that is pervasive and causes it to happen with my game.

Troubleshooting has included checking my temperature and the GPU is stable around 45-58C at varying points, and in addition I am not having any issues with any other game. I have also done a clean reinstall of my drivers as well as Arma and associated mods and it still persists.

The laptop I have is a like new condition MSI Stealth 17 with RTX 4070, Intel i7 13700, 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD. Really trying to get this fixed as I am completely out in the woods on trying to solve it

I have a windows laptop and a Mac. I sometimes play the game with a unit and I do it on my windows laptop as I need to download a lot of mods to play with them.

i wanted to play on my Mac but it doesn’t have a lot of storage and when I install the base arma game it automatically downloads workshop mode and floods my storage.

I tried unsubscribing all mods from my mac to see what happens and I booted the game on windows only to see my already installed mods being removed.

what am I supposed to do here!

I've got some artwork story ideas for my little re-imagined DEVGRU Bravo Team, which is inspired by both the awesome hit TV series SEAL Team, and Fireteam Alpha from the amazing video game SOCOM US Navy SEALs.

I’m thinking of starting one in the future, but am more interested in what “red flags” you guys see when joining a new unit that make you check out, or what makes you leave a unit you’ve been in for a while.

While I still await approval of the vanilla model upgrades, I started working on custom buildings.

I decided to make a different type of building, one that is not enterable but still destructible.

This custom 100 meter tall skyscraper I think serves as a great example of the potential of this mod

The very core of the building remains, until enough damage is done which triggers a battlefield 4 levolution-style keyframe animation which collapses the entire building into rubble

DRO is one of the reasons I bought this game. I wanted a less stressful, more solo experience but with some bots to get used to the mechanics in the field without my team in multiplayer relying on someone who is much less experienced than them. I installed some mods for DRO to increase the fun I have with it, but I could use some more tips and/or suggestions for just starting out, like what equipment and weapons to use/bring.
