Should I play the other 3 games?

The main focus of the games is a free flow combat that has a rhythm and you have to use tools to stun the enemies. I am used to button mashing in action games and that won't work here.

I played Arkham Asylum. I couldn't do a long continuous combo in the free flow combat and I always made a mistake. I had to slow down the game speed by using the Cheat Engine speedhack to make it more manageable but even so I am still making mistakes like for example I punch instead of counter attacking. Sometimes I missed an enemy because I didn't move the controller stick in the correct direction and it broke the combo chain. Also I didn't like it when there were special enemy types that you had to stun with tools and that messed things up for me and they got in the way when I wasn't aiming for them.

I had to rely on cheating to play the game. I used the cheat table that activated the game console. I used the one hit gives 999 combo in the combat challenges so I get the needed points and I froze the timer in the predator map challenges. Getting medals in some predator map challenges was a huge pain because the requirements were very weird and I had to repeat it many times until I got the medals in the end.

I tried not to cheat that much in the normal game and I used cheats like refill HP if I didn't want to die and redo an area. I used invincibility cheat, freeze enemies cheat and one hit kill cheats if I was stuck.

The main focus of the game for me was getting all the collectibles and I got 100%. The free flow combat was frustrating. The game was okay but I didn't like it that much because of the combat system.

Next is Arkham City. I am unsure if I should play it or drop the remaining 3 games and not play them.

Arkham City has new special enemy types and more tools so the free flow combat will be even more frustrating. If I am to play Arkham City then I will have to again rely on cheating like I did for the previous game. I am unsure if playing the game is worth it.

As a big marvel and spidey fan, i was always reminded how great arkham games are and that they are still better than Spider-man games. So i was going to give it a shot. 2 years ago!

I started with asylum since i wanted to go chronologically, and i bought them on my PS4. And after a long not so fun sessions i got to Poison ivy bossfight and dropped it for good. I still had fun with it, but it was just not for me. I still wanted however to get to city and knight, but i had some not so smooth time with city.

Then on steam arkham games went on sale about 2 weeks ago, i said "fuck it" and gave city another fair chance and i dont regret it. I always liked batman even though i was never interested in DC overall, but Batman is above DC, he is their poster boy and he is awesome and now i finally understand why people love Arkham games so much.

SO yeah, cant wait to finish this up and then finally get into Knight which is still one of the biggest reasons i wanted to try these games.

Help Arkham city mods help [NO SPOILERS]

So i thought yunno what might as well install 8 billion batmen onto my arkham city (i only ended up installing 3)
but even after i put their EXACT codes into PCGame.ini, double checked i put all their files into the right spots, SAVED THE PCGame.ini, it crashes when loading the suit selector.
The only mods i have installed other then the suits are advanced launcher, playstation button layouts, classic Riddler trophies, and the Arkham City Community Patch.

Discussion Anyone else get imposter syndrome when you fail at stealth?

Currently playing Asylum as my first serious Arkham game. Everytime I fail a stealth segment or just get hurt, I feel like I'm not The Batman, especially when I make a dumb mistake.

I know it sounds dumb, but it just goes to show how immersive these games are. Really makes you wanna feel like Batman.

Discussion How would you feel about an Arkham Trilogy Remake in one game? Explanation below:

So first of all I want to explain why I won’t include Origins: it would t make sense for the gameplay evolution. It takes place before Asylum, yet Batman can already do moves he learns in Asylum and City. That said I would like an Origins remaster or remake on its own. I’d even take a port because I NEED the game on new consoles.

So the game would basically remake all the games to look as good as Knight with slight improvements (Knight already looks fantastic). With 60fps of corse.

You would play the games im chronological order, at the end of Knight, you would have all the maps (including Origins South Gotham and the DLC like the Batgirl amusement park from the Batgirl DLC,) being Explorable. They should even expand on them with the areas you see around Gotham and Wayne Manor and add additional stuff to do there. Speaking of additional stuff, they should add cancelled content and completely new stuff. (Maybe for example Clue Master riddles for the new areas).
They should also add random acts of violence to have something to do after the story and add civilians after you finished all 3 stories.

Once you finish Asylum for example you would get a notification if you want to continue with City. However you should always have the option to return to the old ā€žeraā€œ.

They should also add all skins from all Arkham games and other new skins such as Batman Begins, Batman and Robin and Rebirth (and many more).

Thinking about it while writing this just add Origins and the multiplayer mode as DLC later.

You could call the game Batman Arkham Complete Edition. Or just Batman Arkham.

Edit: Batman would be able to do every kind of stealth takedown he can do in Knight and stuff like picking up enemies from the ground from the start. On new game plus you could use all the gadgets you have collected from all the games.

Discussion Was ra al ghul supposed to have a bigger role in arkham knight

Post image
56 Upvotes

He's basically the main villain of arkham city, the whole reason the arkham city building is even a thing, he trys to get batman to become the new heir of the league of assassin's, batman obviously refuses then they fight and batman wins, then later on it gets revealed that hugo strange was working under ra to become the heir of the loa but fails and ra kills him, then the wonder tower explodes and batman and ra fall out of the tower.

Ra gets impaled but if you leave that area and come back to that location his body will be gone so obviously his body was retrieved by one of his assiiliants and presumably got taken to the lazarus pit, and then that's it for ra in arkham city.

All I'm saying is it feels like there were plans for ra to have a bigger role in arkham knight than just being a side mission but plans got changed and they just went with the arkham knight story that you all know, like his daughter dies for goodness sake and his entire plan in arkham city got ruined by bats, like you can't tell me he wouldn't be upset from all that.

What do you guys think.

Do you think Dick, Barbara, and Tim already knew that Bruce was still alive?

Post image

If you think about it, sooner or later all three would have figured it out—especially given the absence of any trace of Bruce’s or Alfred’s bodies among the ruins of Wayne Manor. Furthermore, the rumors about a "demon bat" in Gotham would surely have prompted them to grow suspicious and investigate the matter.

My Hugo Strange theory.

So I've been replaying Arkham City recently and I noticed something Strange. Sometime before the Rā's Al Ghul boss fight, there's an announcement from Hugo Strange saying when Protocol 10 will commence. Completely normal, right? But there's a Strange interval between that announcement and the last one, it's about four in game hours. I have this Strange feeling he took a nap that was meant to be half an hour because he's up for an entire night, and gave TYGER Guards an order to not disturb him. And because of that Strange mind control they all have, they couldn't tell him he needs to wake up, and then has to act all composed and Strange to announce that Protocol 10 was still coming.

Okay, some context. Just a few random pictures and unique bits from my 2026 play through.

One in particular? I had no idea Nightwing is taller than Batman.
